Personal History Born in the small town of Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!, one of the most comical town names in all of the country, on Earth. He spent the first four years of his life there, then moving to an equally comical town of Dildo newfoundland. His father had a sick sense of humour, choosing the oddest towns to move to, but they were small towns, and he didn’t really mind the names. As they provided wide open spaces, and plenty of space to practice weapons training and martial arts.

His father being a weapons trainer, primarily for special operations officers, meant that he grew up around the good toys, top of the line weapons, some not even out in the field yet. Some that didn’t even make it, but he got to play with them. By the time he was as good as an advanced cadet, by the time he was 13, he was unmatched.

It didn’t surprise his family that he chose starfleet as his career, although his father wanted him to get into the special operations side of things, Greyson chose to go on Regular duties with the security and tactical fields. Both came natural to him, and he he went through the first three years without incident.

The fourth year, he was able to advance to advanced security training which meant more dangerous training, using different weapons from various other species. One such weapon was a blade, while using it, being an awkward shape and weight, meant to be used by more than a two armed bearer, he slashed the side of the face, leaving him a large gash, several damaged nerves. To hide the scar and the slight deformity, he keeps his hair long and in front of that part of his face, unless necessary.

In 2356, his first posting, the USS Remington, an excelsior class starship, a large ship, which surprised him, not many cadets got such large ships on their first duty. This posting, had him see a lot of action, being in the midst of the cardassian war. He seen many atrocities, from both sides. He seen his father return to service just so he can join the many missions that would send him behind enemy lines killing. Although he was trained with weapons, actually doing it was not settling.

In 2359, Saw him receiving a medal, and a promotion, the one that he is still actually proud of. A lot of people would say that killing ones father would not be something to be proud of. In 2358 him and his team was out recon when he came across an encampment. This away team was different as his father was onboard and brought several of his own men for the away team. The encampment that they stumbled on, his father ordered the the ambush, instead of taking prisoners, he ordered them all dead.

While his team agreed, he did not. He did not like senseless death. He did not like the fact that this team, his father hand picked from other missions. Was seemingly out for blood. The encampment was none the wise, there wasn’t actually anyone that looked like military, they were too old, too young.
He was however able to talk his father into capturing the encampment, without blood shed, reluctantly agreeing, his father went with it. It took literally minutes to have it captured, not a single casualty. But this was not what his father was having, after lining up everyone, men, women and children. It was clear that this was not a military encampment, but a civilian. They seemed to have placed civilians in secret encampments across the planet. Away from the fighting. This one was just stumbled upon.

Watching his father, he could not help but watch in shock as his father set his weapon to widespread kill. Ordering his men to do the same. He looked at the civilians. He knew the men would not falter. They would not heed. They could see the children being embraced by the parents, grandparents. Shielding the kids eyes. It took him seconds to react, he set his weapon onto kill. Fired the weapon. Seconds later his father and his loyal officers were dead on the ground. He walked over to the bodies and examined them. Though he was blood, this moment was the moment he stopped being family. Within moments, the encampment was retaken by cardassian troops, and he and his remaining team members were taken as POW’s.

His time as a POW was shortlived, with the civilians let the military of his sacrifice, him turning on his own, unbeknownst to the civilians that it was family as well. He and his team was able to contact the Remington and get back to the ship. His debriefing went smoothly. What he found out, his father had also been on other atrocities, questionable missions, planted weapons. Starfleet had to come forward with the information, and apologize for the atrocities that were caused by Greysons father. At the finalizing of the mission, he was given a humanitarian award by ending atrocities, saving a civilian population even though it was of the enemy. Starfleet had to issue an apology to the cardassians.

The next year the war ended, the Remington was called to Cardassia Prime by the new leader, something which was completely out of context of the cardassians. Upon arrival, they were invited down to the head of government chambers. With a special request for him and his team as guests of honour. At the time Greyson didn’t understand why.

Upon arrival on the planet they were escorted through the city. Watched by the population some by disgust. Some by understanding. It seemed that they understood why they were here. Once they were there, in the chambers Greyson looked around. There was a big gathering, it seemed to be shown on screens around the city possibly planet. Instead of the Captain being asked to approach, it was Greyson, a lowly Ensign. It wasn’t immediate but within moments he recognized those in attendance. They were the ones in the camp. They were the kids, the parents, the brothers, sisters, grandparents all too young, too old, or unable to fight for the cardassian military. They were of the council. His father must have found that out. Knew that if they were killed it could cause a problem with the officials.

Although it could have caused a weakness in the government of the enemy, it could have caused even more unnecessary bloodshed and extended the war even further. Given recognition by the Cardassian government, it was at this time, that the government chose to actually sign the treaty that had yet to be finalized. Also the handover of some high ranking Starfleet POW’s.

It was at this point in time when the Captain, once onboard the ship, promoted him from Ensign to full LT. With the transfer of Lt Commander Calhoun and Lt Downey being promoted to Lt Commander, and the chief, he was given the assistant chief position. The next five years was a deep space assignment, into the region of space many referred to as the void. A large area of space which spanned light years, hundreds of light years, and there was no evidence of any space faring species. Any probes sent back nothing, after fifty years. Their mission was to understand why.
The first year was actually getting to the area of space and enter it, which was quite mundane. Once there though, they passed through an energy barrier, unable to figure it out, and being a very slight it almost went unnoticed. The ship travelled another three months before it actually found something. A trinary star system with three habitable planets.

One was a Lush Rainforest planet, rained almost every day with a dense ecosystem. Although there no current population, there was evidence of a previous society. Eons ago. The second was a colder more frigid planet, much like Pluto was, but with an atmosphere. Again, a population seemed to have fluorished here a long time ago. The third was a water planet, it took a good three weeks to get a shuttle adapted to be available to become a submersible. As the other two planets, it seemed thiis was not always a water planet, but it seemed to be artificial in nature. It was almost a year before they left that and the surrounding system, finding nystery after mystery, picking up a new member of the crew. Talshi. Talshi was found in a stasis chamber, one eons old. But she was barely 30 when she was placed in. Being a leading scientist, and knowing the space. She became the guide of the ship while in space.

Greyson and Talsi, hit it off immediately. With her blue skin, her tail, and her being a very gentle soul, as well as being well over 9 ft. Something, the Remington was equipped for. It wasn’t long before the two had started dating, with the approval of the Chief medical officer, for interspecies relationship. The sex was different with four feet difference between the two, but the Na’vi had been different, although the female were tall, the dominant of the species, the males were much shorter at 6 ft 5 being on the average side. They also blended, the merging of the minds to become one, to be completely encompassed with each other. Within a year, they had seen and learned about the past of thousands of sectors of space. Learned about some that had went extinct. Others, which they had made contact with, actually evolved into noncorporeal beings. In the third year, when they almost turned and started the trip home, they came across a human settlement. They knew of the federation, yet wanted nothing to do with them. But let them stay. To learn from them. It seemed that there were parts of starfleet that had taken interest into preserving the human race in case the federation was taken over, to keep the human civilization alive. That was 200 years ago, the trip at that time took more than 15 years to travel to, and 75 ships, all of which left different ports, different times, different routes.

The time there, made everyone want home. Some wanted to stay, one of which was chief security officer who resigned his commission to remain with a woman he had met. By the time they left the planet, she was with child. So Greyson being next in line was promoted to lt commander, and given the chief position. The trip home was uneventful, going the same route, meant being able to pick up some of the problems they left to scan planets, and anomaly's. It wasn’t until they tried to leave the area of space where the energy field was, that all systems fell. The field was preventing them from leaving. When upon hearing the news, Talshi opened up more about the past in this area of space. There was once, a power so great in what the federation had called the void, that a decision was made to prevent them from leaving the space they had already conquered. Many of the ruins on the many planets she had taken them to we civilizations that were thriving until they were conquered. They had hoped that the field sending out signals of nothing of interest in the area of space would deter people. As the field only prevented people from leaving, but it didn’t stop them from entering. For the most part it worked. Taking it down meant returning to the planet they found her on. There she was able to take the field down, and made the choice to leave it down. During their time in the space, there was no evidence the power was still in control, or even still in existence.

Now upon their arrival to federation space, most of the crew, transferred off ship. Spending almost six years on a ship, most wanted solid land. Others went to better postings, or got their own command. Teaching positions. Or left starfleet altogether. Greyson however remained, with another promotion to Commander he was given Second officer of the Remington.

The next five years, was local, showing Talshi around, she took an interest in cartography, although she didn’t take rank, she did become the cartographer onboard. They did conceive a child during that time, his growth was fast, the Na’vi takes five years to reach full growth, although their son, Shal’ti would be slower . By three their son was the same height as him. By the time he was promoted to XO in 2369, he was already fully grown for a Na’vi-human. 6 ft 5. The next two years onboard the Remington was the greatest, his co was planning retirement, which meant that he would soon be CO. But that was not meant to be. In 2372, the Remington was to be refitted and crew transferred. The Captain retired, instead of being offered a command, he was given first officer position onboard the USS Resolution under the command of Matthew Leonard.
