| Personal History | Born in 2340 on board the USS Fantiago to a Bajoran father and a human bother, Jericho had a hard life. Her mother decided two months into motherhood that she didn't want to be a mother and left little Jericho with her father. Since he wanted a boy, Jericho grew up being put through all sort of harships to 'toughen' her up. The conditioning didn't have the effect her father expected--instead it made her hate him and turned her into an antisocial person. Those who don't understand her use words such as cold, terse--sometimes even heartless, to describe her. With her father being the cheif securitu officer on board different ships because he couldn't seem to get along with the different crew, she was forced to grow up alone while hopping from ship to ship with her father. Though she didn't want to be like him, Jercho had nothing to her name and the moment she could, she joined starfleet. She was seventeen. Going through Starfleet, she used her mother's name - Jericho Aldaje - since being associated with her father was bad. His name is renowned for being a person that cannot be trusted after two of his crewmates died after he ran away from a fight, leaving them alone. This caused her to suffer a little more than normal. She never uses her father's name. Jericho isn't lying about it. If she's asked she explains, but she doesn't go out of her way to announce it. No one likes being associated with a coward. She was placed on board the USS Pegasus for her Cadet Cruise, a ship being Captain by her mother's new husband. Needless to say, that didn't go very well, but she passed because he wanted her out of his life. He told her, "I don't like you. But I know you'd just make my life miserable if I don't give you a good recommendation." He wasn't wrong. Affter graduation, she was station on board the USS Poseidon, where she's served by doing her job as best as she could. She was given a transfer because Captain Adelle Richards of the USS Poseidon believes there's greatness in Jericho, and she believe Jericho has outgrown the Poseidon. For her best friend, Jericho is known as Jeri. She doesn't allow anyone else to call her that. She has a pet American Akita name Talon. |
