| General Overview | Jacen is a bubbly man with a great sense of humour and a knack for getting things fixed as soon as possible but also with the most inventive way possible, keeping within the rules. When it comes to his work, he is very committed to doing his job and one day hopes to be in the Captain’s Chair, although he is well aware of the job he needs to do to get there. In his spare time, he enjoys his collection of 20th and 21st century comic books and also enjoys spending time on the Holodeck researching and enjoying re-enactments of 20th/21st Century Motorsports and often has a go himself. | Strengths & Weaknesses | Jacen's strengths lay in his ability to analyse a problem and try to solve it there and then in the quickest most efficient way possible. However, he can also get over-excited when trying to apply himself because his has plenty of enthusiasm. He is a team player and can also step up to lead personnel and others if the call is made. His weaknesses lie in when he is confronted with a situation that seemingly holds "no way out" or no resolution that he is fully aware of. This is something he has often tried to work through, but he can find this difficult when faced with a Pressure situation. |

| Ambitions | Jacen wants to progress through the ranks to one day make it to Command like his father has done, who captains the USS Fury. He understands that sitting in the Captain's Chair one day will happen but that it will take a lot of hard work and learning during his career. He has the drive and will to work hard to earn himself a Senior Officer position on board. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | Jacen enjoys his collection of 20th and 21st century comic books and also enjoys spending time on the Holodeck researching and enjoying re-enactments of 20th/21st Century Motorsports and often has a go himself. He also enjoys reading science fiction stories, this coming from the time he spent with his Uncle Hank as a child whilst growing up. He also has an interest in Starfleet Ship design and how they work, being knowledgeable on the various classes when he has time. When he has some down time, Jacen enjoys in taking part in his collection of Science Fiction Holonovels, specifically the "Deathstalker Saga." Jacen enjoys practising archery and keeping his skills up to date with the various trick arrows that he creates. Jacen also enjoys hiking and taking long walks across the countryside on various different planets. |
| Personal History | Jacen was a hard-working child at school and graduated in each of his classes with good grades. Due to his time working at his uncle’s repair facility in England, He found that he had a natural talent for fixing, repairing and understanding how machines, speeders and eventually starship systems worked. Due to these talents, Jacen found a drive to perform when working on technical and mechanical aspects of his education. He left all the various schools he went to with good grades and always felt a level of confidence towards the next school year as well as a small level of nervousness. Due to his family's involvement in Starfleet, Jacen's course was always one set for the stars and he knew that to get there he would have to do his best and continue to work hard. After School and his education, Jacen had decided the career he wanted before he was given an option to choose. To join Starfleet. While his parents served on the USS Alabama, Jacen went to live with his Uncle Hank in England at his Repair Facility and spent time working there on everything from vehicles to small ships, to small garden implements. After a while of working there and still dreaming of the stars, Jacen went on to learn about Starships and Engineering, showing the knack of wanting to know how it worked and if it worked how it could work better. with permission from his parents, Jacen applied for Starfleet Academy in 2355 and was accepted. |

| Service Record | Jacen performed well at the academy and showed promise early on in his first year, despite the loss of his parents. He also showed his interest in Starship/Starbase Operations and he chose both Operations and Engineering as his courses to pursue. His tutors were impressed by his knowledge and speed of learning when it came to learning about new and current starship classes, how they worked and also how their Engineering and Operations took place. When it came to Jacen choosing his path, he was recommended that his talents would be best served on board a starship Once Graduating from Starfleet Academy in 2360, Jacen was assigned to an Operations post on board the Ambassador Class USS Ghandi for his first tour out in the fleet, staying within the Alpha Quadrant and patrolling along the Cardassian Border during what turned out to be the final years of the Federation-Cardassian War. To Jacen, This decision seemed to be based on his talents and drive he had shown during the Operations and Engineering courses at the Academy. He spent four years on board serving on board and saw both combat and exploration during that time. In 2362, the Ghandi received orders to re-route to the Federation Colony based on Setlik Three and provide support to the USS Rutledge and to attempt a rescue mission of the colonists whilst the Rutledge took on the Cardassian forces in the area. Upon arrival, all communications with the colony were out and sensors showed survivors fleeing to the outlying district with heavy casualties in the main settlement. Jacen worked as part of the transporter teams that were able to rescue the survivors in that area. The remaining Cardassian forces eventually retreated from the planet once the Ghandi took the fight to them. Once the survivors were dropped off at Starbase 234, Jacen was commended for his original solutions on getting the survivors from planetside. The Ghandi continued its patrol of the Cardassian border for another two years, where While performing relief work with Bajoran refugees, the Gandhi's commanding officer was killed while attempting to negotiate an exchange of hostages with the Cardassians. This led to a change of CO and soon after the Ambassador Class starship docked at Spacedock, where Jacen was reposted to Starfleet Operations. Before his transfer took place, Jacen took some shore leave to enjoy being back on Earth and whilst there, he soon fell for Sky Jansen, who was serving at the Academy during his time on Earth. The two started a passionate relationship which lasted all of two years before Jacen was transferred to one of the newer Nebula Class Starships: The USS Bellerophon in 2366. Having been successful in applying to transfer to one of the newer Nebula Class Starships, Jacen spent two years onboard serving onboard The Bellerophon, which was assigned to exploration duties within the Alpha Quadrant, allowing him to develop and improve his skills with the Operations Department, working under the Assistant Chief Operations Officer on shift. Despite this, Jacen felt that part of him was missing back on Earth and he longed to see Sky again. In 2366, the Nebula Class starship performed a star mapping mission in Sectors 1608 & 1609 and discovered a previously uncharted asteroid field. During this mission, Jacen was able to provide expertise on improvements to the various sensor pallets on the Bellerophon and this work was key to discovering the asteroid field. In 2367, whilst on planetary charting duties, the Bellerophon was called to join the fleet that was assigned to the Wolf 359 system with orders to stop a new enemy to the Federation: The Borg. As a single Borg cube was making its way to Sector 001, the Bellerophon joined 38 other Federation Starships ready to stop this new foe. With limited data provided by Admiral J.P. Hanson, the fleet took on the single Borg Cube however they turned out to be no match for this formidable foe and during the battle, the Bellerophon was critically damaged. Jacen was one of the lucky ones that were able to get on board an escape pod and leave the area before the ship took one final barrage and was destroyed. Picked up by the USS Coventry, the remaining crew were returned to Earth where they were put into recovery from the incident at Wolf 359. After some downtime recovering from his experience with the Borg, Starfleet Operations returned Jacen to active service and assigned him to work at the rebuilding of the fleet at Utopia Planitia Shipyards. In 2369, Jacen decided to look for a new assignment, where despite his hard work on the many Starships that were launched, he also saw many good friends being given new assignments within the fleet. He was rewarded with the post of Assistant Chief Operations Officer aboard the Nebula Class USS New York, which was assigned with a tour in the newly established Bajoran Sector. Whilst there, the New York provided aid to Deep Space Nine and also provided aid to the Bajoran people after the recent withdrawal of the Cardassian occupational forces. In 2370, the New York was one of the vessels to go into the Gamma Quadrant and pick up survivors of the USS Odyssey and return them to DS9 before going on to patrol The Jenatris Corridor, which was near the new established Demilitarized Zone. The border between the two powers was redrawn, resulting in some Federation colonies being turned over to Cardassian control, and vice-versa. The colonists on the affected planets were given the option of resettlement, though most refused to leave. Two years later, the New York had benefitted from the improving talents of Jacen as he worked hard to improve the efficiency of the systems onboard whilst she was out in open territory, however, the crew soon came across a Klingon distress call near the Badlands. Upon arrival, the Nebula Class Starship found itself under attack from two Klingon Birds of Prey and after a hard battle with the presumed allies, this left the ship in a bad state and requiring help from what was a bruising and disturbing encounter. The New York managed to limp out of the Badlands and was ordered back to Earth Station McKinley for a refit and upgrade programme. Whilst there, Jacen was transferred to the USS Resolution as the new Assistant Chief Operations Officer, where the ship was ready to leave Spacedock having seen major upgrades in her systems and experienced crew required for the shakedown of these new systems. 2360 - 2364: USS Ghandi - Ambassador Class - Operations Officer 2364 - 2366: Starfleet Operations, Earth 2366 - 2367: USS Bellerophon - Nebula Class - Operations Officer 2367 - 2369: Utopia Planitia Shipyards 2370 - 2372: USS New York - Nebula Class – Assistant Chief Operations Officer |
