Summary
The USS Resolution (NCC-71850) is a Galaxy-class starship serving Starfleet during the Dominion War. Designed as a long-range explorer and multi-mission vessel, the Resolution combines extensive scientific and diplomatic capabilities with the defensive and tactical systems required to operate during a period of open conflict.
Originally commanded by Captain Matthew Leonard, the Resolution underwent an early change of command after Leonard was critically injured during the ship's maiden mission. Xavier assumed command and remained her commanding officer for several years before being reassigned to oversee a search-and-rescue operation and broader responsibilities beyond the vessel.
Before departing, Xavier promoted his longtime executive officer, Antonia “Tony” Stoffels, to Captain and transferred command of the Resolution to her. Under Captain Stoffels, the Resolution continues her service during the Dominion War, with Commander Rutherford “RJ” Milton serving as Executive Officer.
