"I think I took a wrong turn..."
I hope that was blood I just put my hand in, because if it was something else, I am going to be very put out.
That was the first thought Tale had when she made her way in the dank corridor. Screams billowed throughout the halls, as though they were merely creaks and groans in the surrounding rock. Entrails coated the floorboards. The damp smell of rotting and the fresh smell of new blood mixed in her nose. Tale wondered where the rest of the team beamed in if this is where she wound up. She wrapped her hand around her Orion multi key on her waist band. There were dents and small holes in the bulkheads and floor, they looked like the damage from some sort of projectile weapon. Something similar to the ones that Kepek had mentioned.
How bad is it that I was thankful that it was blood and not some other bodily fluid?
=^= Gilohesh, to the away team.
She was greeted with *static*.
=^= Diane?
=^= Kay?
=^= Kepek?
Well, shit. I guess I’ll follow the innards trail and see where that leads me. Lights flickered intermittently. She slowed her breathing and made sure to keep her footsteps deliberate. What even is this place? It looks like a horror movie. Clearly, whoever had put this place together had built it with the intention of it being made for utility. What it had turned into, was death. Tale followed the darkened red path deeper into the facility. There was a wire stretched at neck level if not for the blood and bits of flesh she might have run into it. Low tech traps were far more dangerous, when people were Relying on tricorder sweeps. Was that their trap or Wagnor's?
=^=Gilohesh to the away team…
***silence***
“Shit you guys.”
A rusty doorway opened into a room filled with chains, decaying 3 pronged hooks, and large containment vessels that resembled wheelbarrows. For the ore, but it could be mistaken for a butcher shop by the uninformed. It was the viscera that coated every surface. The odor of oxidized gore hanging on every surface. Tale’s grew bleary. Cobwebs couldn’t even thrive in this room, what is this place? A dead Andorian was swaying from a hook on the far end of the room. Tale felt her heart leave her body for a moment before returning to ground. She needed to find the missing. Needed to find them and get the hell out of here.
The darkness of the room enveloping Tale like a suffocating cloak. She wanted to scream, but she had no mouth. Sure, she could tap her light on. Might as well alert whomever it was to their rescue mission. She did it for a second and eerie shadows danced across the red velvet of blood on the floor. The door was barred in the back. If she were to run, she would most certainly fall in here and make a huge ruckus.
A shadow flashed across the wall. There were two dead Orions on the floor, one mostly nude.
You have got to be kidding me.
