Together at long last

Mission:
The Next Watch
Location: Morgan Quarters
Assignments weren’t easy, and being unable to talk about her prior assignments even with her beloved husband was even harder. Callie was at long last where she could call home, finally assigned onboard the same ship as Morgan where they could be what a husband and wife should be. Walking in the door of their quarters she did what she always loved doing heading into the bedroom she immediately flopped onto the bed testing it out with a giggle before remembering she was no longer alone.
"Now, that is as pretty a picture as I could ever want to see." Morgan's voice came from the doorway. A bright smile on his face as he moved to the bed and then slid onto it to lie next to Callie. "My love, this has been a long time coming. Let's savor the moment." He whispered as he leaned forward and gently kissed her lips again and again. His lips came off hers. "Now if we only had some wine and maybe some cheese and crackers that would be absolutely fitting."
“Well I’m sure we could organise that.” Callie grinned. “Question is do we want them before or after we celebrate finally being together?”
"I think a little now to help with the mood and more afterwards to celebrate." Morgan answered with a broad grin.
“Sounds good to me!” Callie smiled as she got up off the bed and walked over to the replicator. She returned with a bottle of wine, and 2 glasses placing them down before going back for their snacks. “One cheeseboard with crackers.” She grinned as she put it down on the end of the bed. “You know we could eat in the living area rather than on the end of the bed.”
Morgan picked up the glasses and the bottle of wine. "Come on, let's go to the living room and enjoy this. We'll eat like civilized people." He stated as he headed for the living room.
Callie grinned as she carried the cheese board and crackers into the living room. “I’m sorry, I’ve been on my own for so long doing my own thing I’ve forgotten the social graces.”
"Not upset love." Morgan replied as he placed the glasses and bottle of wine on the coffee table and waited for Callie to do the same with the cheeseboard and crackers.
“I know you’re not.” Callie replied as she set down the cheeseboard and crackers. “I just felt the need to explain is all. I’ve been so lonely without you, now I just have to get used to finally living with you.”.
"i understand it's an adjustment for sure. I sure hope you can get used to living with me. I'd vote for us to be sleeping in separate beds. Cause I am not letting you go." He joked.
“Separate beds! No way Hosea!” Callie grinned. “That bed sleeps two and that’s where I’m going to be right alongside you.” She walked up to him giving him a passionate kiss. “There’s plenty more where that came from.”
Morgan wore a big goofy smile, "I'm glad to hear that but I wasn't really worried and I do like the way you think and as for the kiss, I would certainly hope so."
Callie grinned. “Now how’s about you pour us some of that wine?”
"Ah. Your wish is my command. I can definitely do that." Morgan replied as he popped the cork on the wine bottle and then proceeded to pour them both a glass.
Callie took her seat ready to sit and eat, she had to admit she was starting to feel a little hungry, and wine on an empty stomach wasn’t a good idea.
"A toast my love. "To you, thank you for your endearing love and support of me. I hope I always prove worthy of both." Morgan said raising his glass.
Callie raised her glass. “To us, and finally being together.” With that she gently chinked her glass against his before she sipped her wine.
"To us and to staying together." Morgan added as he clicked his to hers. "How's the wine?"
“Wonderful, just like the man I’m sitting with.” Callie smiled.
Morgan smiled broadly, "Ah, Such a compliment." He took a sip of his own. "Excellent, exciting and intoxicating full of life. Much like the woman seated next to me." He returned.
“You’ve always been a charmer Morgan!” Callie grinned. “One of the many reasons why I fell in love with you.” She chose herself some cheese and crackers before taking a polite nibble.
"And you my darling Callie have always had extraordinary good taste." He bantered back as he grabbed a cracker and some cheese.
Callie grinned before eating some more crackers and cheese. “Mmm…I like this cheese, it not one I’ve tried before and it’s good.”
Morgan grinned. "Good deal love. I think I just had some Colby cheese, I get that confused with cheddar." As he took some more crackers.
Callie grinned. “You always did tend to get things a little mixed up, but then cheese is something that can be hard to ascertain types of.”
"Can you tell the difference between Colby and Cheddar?" Morgan challenged playfully.
“I have no idea!” Callie grinned. “I don’t tend to bother too much about it. If it’s edible I’ll eat it.”
"Can't argue with that logic." Morgan replied as he took another bite of cheese.
“Besides there are more interesting things than cheese.” Callie smiled before finishing what she had on her plate.
"Yeah." Morgan admitted. "These crackers are good too!" He teased laughing as he did.
Callie grinned before standing up, she’d had enough food and drink, right now she had other things on her mind as she slowly started undoing her clothing, teasingly dropping an item at a time as she headed for the bedroom door. “I think you’ll find something even better this way.”
Morgan was already up, picking up the discarded clothing Callie was dropping as she headed to the bedroom. "Have you got a steak in there? He teased as he entered the bedroom.
“Definitely not, but I’m sure you’ll find something you like better than that.” Callie answered from where she lay teasingly on the bed.
Morgan was already removing his shirt. "Oh yes! That is music to my ears." As he moved to the bed to join his beloved wife.
“ I thought it might be.” Callie grinned as she waited for him to join her, she’d spent so much time away from Morgan she couldn’t wait to make love with him again.
"You thought right love and for the record I love the way you think." Morgan replied as his shoes and pants came off next.
Callie pulled up the covers leaving Morgan’s half pulled back for him to join her in bed. “It’s been so long this feels like our first time all over again!”
Morgan slid into bed and pulled the covers up over them. "I'm not complaining darling. Our first time was amazing." he replied as he moved closer to her.
“Did I say you were complaining? And it certainly was!” She leant in giving him a passionate kiss.
"No, you did not and I am glad you agree." Morgan replied, returning the kiss with equal passion.
One kiss lead to much more as Callie let all her pent up emotions out, encouraging her beloved husband with every move.
The love Morgan and Callie had for each other had always been passionate, unbridled but now after finally being together after so long it burned with a white hot intensity. They kissed and explored each other's body like it was the first time. Time seemed to stand still and all that existed was each of them and it was wonderous.
~Sometime later ~
Callie lay cuddled up in Morgan’s embrace, the covers on the bed were strewn all over. She moved to pull the cover over a little before cuddling back up again. “This is what I missed, being able to make love and cuddle up with you afterwards.”
Morgan smiled blissfully. "Snuggling is also good." He agreed as he looped an arm around her. "Just being here with you is a dream come true and I am in no rush to have it end."
“Me either” Callie grinned as her fingers trailed gently over his chest. “I want to have a family at some point, but I know when theI do it’ll mean my Intel duties will stop, there’s no way they’d send a pregnant woman out into the field. Not that we need to rush anyway.”
Morgan lay there as Callie ran her fingers across his chest. " I want us to have a family as well sweetheart but as you just mentioned we don't need to rush."
“Which means more time alone with you!” Callie grinned. “My idea of heaven.”
"Absolutely right darling. You are so right. This is heaven," Morgan happily agreed.
“More like paradise!” Callie smiled as she kissed his chest.
"Yes indeed love, more like paradise." Morgan agreed as he leaned over and kissed her.
Callie returned the kiss before she cuddled up again. “I wish this never had to end.”
"Ssssh darling. You are going to ruin the moment." Morgan replied holding her close.
Callie smiled as she simply lay enjoying the time they had before their shifts officially started.
Morgan chuckled softly as the pair continued to lie together and just enjoying each other's company.
