Mission:
The Lost Brother
Location: Sickbay
Soran entered sickbay, he looked to the nurse on duty, "I'm for my physical"
"You must be Commander Wagnor," She motioned to some chairs. "The doctor will you soon."
Soran took a seat a took out a small medallion and moving it across the knuckles of his right. It was dexterity experience he often used to pass the time.
Pix was in a good mood, a new person had come into the area. She flew out before the nurse with the friendly aura could tell the Doctor about the arrival. After all, Pix was the unofficial greeter of the Sick Bay. Flying lower she arced up slightly to hover in front of the new man. Legs properly crossed at the ankle she gave a courtesy before noting the coin disk being passed in his hand . It was a show of his being skilled. Pix watched for a couple of seconds and clapped approvingly at his skill.
"Pix, you could wait for me once in a while." Milton chuckled asw he came from his office and the task of Electronic paperwork he was more than happy to set aside. "I see you have given Our Pix a new little bit to be in awe of." Stopping at a proper distance he extended his hand . "Doctor Milton, but you can call me 'Doc' as everyone does. I am glad I did not have to send out a search party like I do with most Officers Lt. Commander Wagnor, pleasure to make the acquaintance."
With a flourish he put the medallion into his pocket and grasped Milton's as he stood up.
"Please to meet you Doc, call me Soran." He smiled, the man's good humor was contagious. "Do lead the way."
"This way to bio-bed One." Milton started in the direction when Pix flashed past him.
opped sensitivity tiPix went to the panel and put her hands on it but it did not activate; losing some of her cool she started kicking it until it lit up with activation.
"This has happened before." Milton said quietly to the Commander. "Her hands are too small to to make it easier I dropped the sensitivity to her kicking it as an impact and it will activate." Pix spun around smiling as a lady who had helped. "She has a good heart." He stopped close by the bed. "Take off your jacket and gt more comfortable up on the bed." He instructed. "You medical records have a slight adjustment start, if you don't mind a few minutes lay still I can quickly calibrate the biobed for your unique physiology?
Soran nodded, That'll be fine he laid down on the biobed and took in a deep breath.
"You have had physicals before , no one makes your rank with one of my professional breth3eren poking and prodding a bit." He activated the systems and while he had transferred the information from Wagnor's medical reading to the bed; it would take some time to fully calibrate to him. "Enjoy the rest while you can, things tend not to get too dull around here.
Pix moved to sit atop the monitor and shuttered a bit while rubbig her shoulder.
"Is there any conditions you want to bring up that might help me get a handle on your present physical condition?" He asked casually. "Between you and Pix my equipments gets a work out trying to make heads or tails of the readings." He chuckled.
"My left shoulder is stiff. I probably just slept on it wrong." He explained. "My eyes are really dry and drops my last Doctor prescribed aren't doing much."
"There is registering some scarring and the pain receptors are dreading high activity in that region so far. "Milton looked at the man. "You are one that can endure pain, and after it get some toxicology work done we might nail down that scratchy eye. Dry eyes on humanoid is typically a lack of saline levels, I am scanning your levels to get the formula adjusted." He gave a grin. "Just a few more moments and we can start breaking down thigs as the calibration is close to done."
Soran resisted the urge to rub his eyes as he waited.
Taking a hypo that came prepared to administer 'drops' rather than and injection Milton put the increased balanced solution in Soren's eyes.
Tell me if that helps, it will take two more time applications to fully balance over an eight hour period, but some relief should be felt right away, a less irritation compared to where you came in with."
Soran blinked and smiled, "Yes that is a little better."
"I had a headache last night," he sighed. "It was gone went got up."
"Take care with anything not Synthale as certain alcoholic beverages do react badly with the stuff, becareful with it , enough to take an edge off is good; but if the levels I am reading here go much higher it could start to add to your sympptoms." Milton waarned. "But aside from that and that High threshold for pain you have; the metal folicles in your bolld are clinging to a lot of nerve endings that I know cause you pain." He grinned. "Let me work on as way to lower you natural magnetic charge and cut some of the attraction to pain receptors."
Soran turns up at the mention of his drinking, But relaxed once he realized that he wasn't about to get a lecture.
"You're welcome to try doc, Every federation doctor Ivan countered has made an attempt." The Angosian smiled.
"I am a Doc that likes to think of Long Term Care." He chuckled. "Nothing so far precludes you from duty." He was completing his scans. "But if I can dull that pain a bit and lessen the irritation of the pain is a good goal to have don't you think?"
"Yes, that's a good goal." Soran smiled. "I'm not always good at taking care of myself, but I will do my best to follow your advice. "
"Then I think we will get along quite well." Rutherford grinned. "I am a strange Doctor, I would rather see my patients socially rather than in the Sick Bay. " The last results were displayed. I think we can have you back to duty, nothing too serious enough to keep you sidelined." He nod. "Feel free to sit up slowly and yoiu have passed the exam four the next Year's certs."
"Thank you Doc I'll see you around the ship." He said
