Soran left Tony's quarters and went to Sky's office, he stood outside her door and pressed the chime.

Sky had gotten back to her office with a feeling in the pit of her stomach like she’d lost the bestest friend she’d ever had. Though it didn’t help that her hormones were all over the place. She’d settled onto the sofa and sobbed her heart out, but when the chime went she had a feeling she knew who it would be.

“Come in..” She pulled a few tissues and blew her nose, looking up as Soran entered the room.

Soran entered and took a seat, he sighed. "She's not doing well."

Sky shook her head. “No, she isn’t, and now she won’t even let me in to talk to her!” She wiped away a few more tears.

"I’d give her a little time, she'll apologize." Soran said quietly, "I'm just numb right now."

“I... I’m sorry Ren! I’ve been sitting here feeling bloody sorry for myself when I should be thinking of you.” She took a deep breath and wiped her eyes one last time. “She loves you, you know that. Right now you need her as much as she needs you, but for the moment is there anything I can do?”

"There's no need to apologize Tony's behavior towards you was hurtful and you feel hurt. As for me, death is no stranger. I'll mourn when I have time at the moment, I need to care Tony and her family. You’ll probably tell me that’s unhealthy, it's just how I survive."

He put a strange emphasis on the word survive, as if he resented the word.

Sky didn’t beat about the bush. “Do you resent being alive Ren?”

"I resent out living so many of my friends," he said in a flat tone. "I hate living in a world where I out live children."

Sky nodded. “I can understand that, you’ve seen more than your fair share of loss. Lost those that you love, but don’t let it win Ren. You have Tony, and you have me.” She offered a cheerier smile. “I’m the one whose been in your head remember?”

"It seems like I'm a fucking curse the closer I get to people the more they seem to suffer," Soran said. "I've grown accustomed to pain, but I hate to see my loved ones in pain."

“The same goes for any of us Ren, all we can do is be there for our loved ones, to support them in their time of need. Tony might fight it but she knows she needs you.” Sky offered a warm smile. “I can feel your emotions when we’re in close proximity, I know you’re in turmoil but don’t let it control you. You need a clear head now more than ever.”

"I will try," Soran said. "I'm not very good at this."

“Actually I think you’re doing very well.” Sky offered an encouraging smile. “You know my door is always open if you need me, even with the cut back in hours Rutherford has made me swear to.”

"The death of a comrade was what ended my last relationship," Soran sighed.

“Well no one here is going to die, and what’s already happened is not going to end your relationship with Tony. She loves you, you both know that. Just be there for her.”

"I will," Soran said simply. "The London's and the Stoffel's are family, losses are mine as well."

“Of course” Sky nodded. “I’m sorry, you said you were feeling numb right now. When that changes come and see me, we’ll talk about your feelings.”

Soran nodded, "there's a lot I have trouble expressing well. I think it upsets Tony that I don't share more.

“Well if you need me to sit in with the two of you for a chat, or talk to Tony for you at some point just let me know” Sky smiled warmly.

"Thank you," Solon said as he got up and walked out.
