(ON)

The shuttle was pulled into a cargo bay and parked neatly next a few ancient looking shuttle crafts. The bay's doors closed and the bay repressurized.

=#= For everyone's safety leave any energy weapons in your vessel; code four hazardous materials are on site. =#=

A computer voice came over the COMM.

Soran sighed, "we better do it, that's a legit request."

He put his phaser in a cabinet, "One miss fire every one is dead."

Sky nodded and handed over her phaser as well. “If I had a choice I’d stay onboard the shuttle, just knowing there are hazardous materials here makes me more nervous than I was before.”

Soran got a hypospray from the medkit, "We'll both take a dose of hyronalin. As a precaution, from my sensor readings, it looks like they're using proper containment. I'm not too worried about the lack of energy weapons."

Sky nodded. “Agreed, I'm sticking to you like glue from here on out.” She smiled warmly. “I guess we shouldn’t keep them waiting.”

Soran nodded and opened the door. "Keep a step behind me."

“Aye Commander” Sky nodded as she followed an exact step behind him.

Soran stepped into the bay and saw a short plump looking Tellarite approached the two of them. "You must be the representatives for SI Danforth."

"Yes," Soran said.

The man turned to lead them down a corridor.

Following on behind Soran, Sky kept the exact one pace behind him. She didn’t like this place, not one little bit.

The Tellarite's ears were twitching and he kept throwing sideward glances at Soran. The man was clearly nervous but Soran couldn't tell why. A lot of these rogue space types don't trust anyone and Soran was well aware of the vibe he put out.

Sky was noticing the nervousness too, she didn’t like the glances she was getting from those they passed one little bit.

They entered a small chamber Soran was on high alert as he heard the door lock behind Sky. The door on the other side of the chamber hissed open. A figure entered pointing a weapon, the Angosian pushed Sky into the corner. There was a deafening popping noise and the Tellarite's head exploded covering Soran in blood and brain matter. There was a second pop, the second shot blew through the poor man's body making it twist before hitting the deck. Soran felt something graze his shirt and heard a metallic thump against the bulkhead.

Sky felt herself pushed into the corner as all hell broke loose, all she could do was watch in horror as events unfolded in front of her. She looked away as the Tellarite quite literally went to pieces, splattering blood and gore everywhere.

Soran Launched forward, gripping the attacker's weapon arm and pointed it up. With his other hand he gripped the throat and drove the man into the bulkhead. He felt his thumb and fingers tearing into the soft tissue and crushing the windpipe. Soran looked into the wide eyes of his attacker. To call him a man was a generous description, he couldn't be more eighteen. The door his opponent had come through hissed shut with a click. Soran let the body fall, he heard a noise and realized it was the Tellarite's guts dripping off his face.

Sky watched in horror as she saw Soran tearing into their attacker, she’d never witnessed such brutality before. She couldn’t even process what she was watching. Her eyes met Soran’s seeing him covered in blood and guts wasn’t an imagine she was soon going to forget.

Soran's face was blank and his eyes were cold, his training had taken over. He noticed Sky and his face softened, "Are you alright?"

Soran began visually scanning the room without waiting for an answer. He was taking deep breaths through his nose to lower his adrenaline.

“I...” Sky took a deep breath to calm herself, she knew of Soran’s training she had to swallow the fear she was feeling. She had to be strong. “I’m okay” she stood up from her crouched position and moved towards Soran remembering the communicator in her pocket. She did just as Soran had told her, tapping it to start an automated distress signal. “What’s going on? Why are they trying to hurt us?”

Soran put a finger in his lips. He retrieved a handkerchief from his pocket and began wiping the blood and tissue from his head and hands. He examined the hole in his shirt, making sure that none of the blood on him was his. He was piecing together what had just happened and trying to figure out the next move. He leaned in towards Sky, "their listening"

Sky flinched as Soran moved towards her, it wasn’t intentional but having seen what she had she was fearful about what was going to happen next.

Soran gave Sky some space he picked up the weapon, it was a projectile weapon that used a magnetic pulse It hadn't done much damage to the bulkhead hit. So it wouldn't be any help in getting them out of this room. He tried to find an access panel.

Sky kept a wary distance for a few more moments before stepping alongside to help with the search. “Let me... help.” She offered a brief nervous smile.

Before Soran could respond, a voice spoke from above.

=#= The pigman and the boy have served their purpose. You know we're serious and we know you're as dangerous as our employer said you are Wagnor. =#=

Sky looked at Soran, then looked away. “Who are you?” What do you want with us? You can’t just take Federation officers hostage!”

=#= The adults are talking =#=

Soran cocked his head at that phrase and the voice... the voice was familiar too. "Let her go and I'll come quietly."

Sky looked at Soran in horror. “Ren...No! You can’t!!”

=#= You're in no position to bargain Wagnor. Now you will put that weapon and any others that you're carrying on the floor. Then you both will kneel facing the wall with your hands behind your back. =#=

Sky looked at Soran. “As much as I hate to say it, We should do what he says.”

Soran shook his head, "and if I don't?"

=#= I'll flood the room with anesthesia gas, I'm fairly certain the counselor will succumb to the gas quite quickly you on the other hand… We know you are more resilient to such things… What will happen to her? If she's over exposed to the gas will her fetuses survive =#=

Sky shot Soran a frightened glance, before doing as the voice had told them to do. Kneeling down she put her hands behind her back and waited to see if Soran would do the same.

The Angosian had a look of cold fury on his face as he set the weapon down and retrieved the knife from his boot. He put the blade down and knelt next to Sky.

He cocked his head towards her, “I'll think of something”

Sky nodded, right now she was terrified more than she wanted to admit, she was a huge liability to Soran and she knew it. “I’m sorry Ren, I’m a liability to you and I know it.”

Soren opened his mouth to say something... The door hissed open behind them, two people entered. "Keep your faces to the wall!"

The man spoke with an accident Soran couldn't place. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the muzzle of a weapon being placed against Sky's neck. "Don't move 'Soldierboy' or she's dead!"

Sky froze, this was one situation she’d never been faced with during her time in Starfleet. If Soran could see her hands he’d see that hers were shaking right now.

The second voice was female, cold and cruel. It was an empty threat because he knew they must need them alive, but this wasn't the time to resist.

Sky kept her eyes down, but plucked up enough courage to ask a question. “What do you want with us?”

The man shackling Soran's hands and feet grabbed Soran's head and slammed it into the bulkhead. He turned to Sky. "Shut up! You speak I hurt him! If he speaks I hurt you! Got it!?

Sky opened her mouth to say yes, but closed it again and nodded instead. Her gaze looked towards Soran, there was blood running from his nose. There was little she could do to help him, not that she doubted he could take the beating.

The man pressed a hypespray to Soran's neck. "This will help you behave 'Soldierboy."

He heard the hiss of the hypo and felt something cold entering his body, it felt like pins and needles going down his spine. He vaguely realized that a cloth was going over his head.

Sky watched helplessly as Soran was drugged, and a bag put over his head.

The woman shackled Sky's hands, "lights out" She sneered and put a bag over her head.

Sky’s breathing increased as she struggled to stop herself from panicking. She knew she needed to try and keep calm, if not for her own sake then for that of her twins. All she could do now was wait and see what was yet to come.
