It was cold in the hidden mountain bunker as Kepek entered with a wounded comrade on his shoulders. The large bald bearded man made his way to medbay.
"Get working on the repairs! We're not going to be here any longer and we need to." Kepek shouted to the others.
He entered the room with the young woman and put her on the biobed.
"Please state the nature of your medical emergency" EMH asked.
"Patch her up, she needs to stabilize the travel as soon as possible." Kepek ordered. He took her hand and squeezed it gently.
"I'll do what Sir, you can't rush medicine." EMH quipped.
He wanted to stay with her but he had to keep moving. His intelligence team had walked into an ambush, he didn't know what was going on. So he was contacting one of few people he knew he could trust. He went to the Subspace COMM and punched a code and waited for a response. He leaned back his seat and lit a cigar.
Hunter sat in his chair, Theresa, now with Admiral Leytons old job, had offered him an office. To conduct his own investigation considering what was going on. His old team, so far two had been killed. One was trying to warn him, the other... well that was hazy... he had been summoned to a ship regarding one of his old team mates being killed, however having to decline, they went with someone else.
When his computer beeped. He opened it up, noticing an old security code needed, noticing the who was contacting him. Punching in his code. "You look fine for a dead man."
"No thanks to your Fleet lackeys," Kip blew smoke ay the screen. , it was a setup. "There's a leak! We're the third team to get hit someone's killing Angosian operators."
"Looks like I dodged a bullet, I was requested, however I refused and asked them to send Commander Soran of the USS Resolution instead." Hunter replied. "It may not be the angosian but the team."
"Or command, realize you'd be a stubborn bastard and refuse so asked you just to make it look less suspicious when they roped Wagnor into it." Kip said with grim smile. " Normally I'd say Old Renny can take care of himself, but these guys good who ever they are. Two of my team are dead and one on the table."
"The Resolution is docked at the Pegasus station... might I suggest we meet there. Bring in the Captain in the loop. I do fear he will have an I told you so."
"I guess it's a good thing. I've never given a rat's ass what the stuff shirts in the brass say to me or about me." Kip said.
"I can be there in four days, how about yourself."
"My crew should be able to repair our vessel quickly. I should there three days"
"Rendez-vous with me at these coordinates... its best we arrive at the same time." He replied as he sent coordinates.
"That should work," Kepek nodded. "Contact the Captain if you can do so without alerting any at the brass. We don't want him going off half cocked, if he's a loose cannon type.
Kip grinned fully aware of how ironic it was for him to call anyone a loose cannon.
"Well... he isn't a big fan, of what I used to do. I decided to follow in his fathers footsteps... however his father turned rogue... and he ended up killing him... the team was disbanded until I was approached."
"Well let that Captain know we're coming," Kepek said. "It's hard to keep a Commander from going after one of his comrades even if it's a terrible idea."
"Ill let you know when we get there." Hunter replied.
"I'll get there first," Kip grinned. "Kepek out."
