Perhaps we should talk to Toni

Posted on Sat Aug 22nd, 2026 @ 3:21pm by Lieutenant Talsi Carey & Lieutenant Sky Carey

Mission: We are sick of this.
Location: Quarters
Timeline: Current

Tal walked out of security, and down the hall. Things were going the way they were, and although she knew that everything was going to go as it was... what ever that may be, she knew that would not be really what Sky would feel. When they got together, Xavier was already a captain, she wasnt there for the whole, first officer and below where she was used to seeing him going on. Walking into their quarters she looked around. Deciding that this was a keep clothing on type of deal, even though most times the quarters would be clothing off.

"Sky, are you here?" She asked looking around.

Sky had just settled twins Chloe and Connor down to sleep after a feed, hearing Tal’s voice she walked out of the nursery. “Right here Tal, just settling the twins down.”

"I think we need to talk." Tal replied "Now that Xaviers on the mission... I don't understand the whole scenario, it happened before I was even a part of his life. Even before Toni took him on as a patient. Its actually before she took him on a patient."

Sky nodded. “What part of the scenario don’t you understand?” Sky asked as she motioned Talsi to sit down with her.

"Honestly, the whole scenario, he didn’t delve it all to me, all he said was he found that his father was responsible for the atrocities that was happening. War is war. Things we do, defines us." Tal replied. "Its not something my people ever thought about." Sitting down next to her. "These people are the same he rescued years ago, and their kids. Now he’s rescuing them from, a people their own people decided to join. I’ve heard that the past can come to haunt the present."

“Unfortunately that’s the way it works out sometimes.” Sky sighed. “Xavier feels responsible so as far as he’s concerned it’s up to him to go and sort this. I don’t like it, not one little bit.”

"That makes two of us, but would you expect him to say no."

Sky shook her head. “Not a chance, he feels responsible and he wouldn’t trust anyone but himself to sort this out.”

"I wonder why he feels responsible for this?" Tal replied.

“It’s got to do with his past, but I don’t know all the details.” Sky added.

Tal thought for a moment, "Perhaps we talk to Toni?"

Sky nodded. “Actually that’s a good idea.”

"She was just on the bridge. Shouldn't take long anyway.”

“Maybe we should wait until later, when Tony has more time” Sky added.

"Since the twins are asleep should we do the same? Then we can head up to the beidge see if Toni is available."

Sky nodded. “That’s a good idea, I could do with the sleep.”
