Well, thats our solution

Mission: The Mentarin Effect
Xavier sat back onto the chair, as he awaited arrival of the scientists... there was a message stating that the solution was ready, so after a few hours, he had called them up to describe what was going to happen to him. But he did promise himself that if he did not understand a word, he would go with it.
Marisa sat beside him, as curious as the Captain about what was planned.
Vanessa was the first to arrive. "Hellim Captain, Commander."
"Lt." Xavier greeted as he picked up a padd and looked it over
Marisa smiled. "Hello, Lieutenant Jackson."
A brown blur wooshed into the room. It sat down at first and then it stood up. It then spoke, "Oh, sorry Captain! Everyone! I shouldn't have sat until invited! But even so, I don't know that I could sit! I'm really not good at that! I like to be in motion! After all, a body in motion stays in motion, right?! Basic Newtonian physics, of course we don't credit Newton in the Tygarian world. We discovered it completely on our own. I mean, doesn't every culture? So why should Terrans have all the names? That could be prejudicial, don't you think? I don't know, but ultimately, all that matters are the rules of the universe, no?!"
"Uhm... welcome Lt." Xavier greeted her, trying not to look confused and overwhelmed slightly. "Help yourselves to the replicator."
Vanessa grinned and took a seat.
Marisa chuckled at the enthusiastic Chief Science Officer, but chose to say nothing. Now they just needed Tully.
Amelix shook her head at Xavier, light bouncing off the crystalline objects on head, as she did so. "Oh, no, no, no! I'm not usually allowed to do that, especially if I replicate something with caffeine! Starfleet is very specific about only giving me caffeine in very limited circumstances! I can't understand why!"
Vanessa just shook her head.
"Neither can I lt." He replied with a grin. "Now while we wait on Warrant Officer Tuscadero, whats the rundown."
"Engineering is making scrubbers for the planet," Vanessa began. "They will need a lot more over time, but what we provide will help considerably. Tully has tested the transporter buffer idea and it's sound. Lieutenant Milumad had a look at it."
"I have?" Amelix asked, seemingly perplexed. She then excitedly said, "Oh, yes! I have! Though, I do think the idea of a micro black hole would have been a lot of fun to try and control!"
"If we had the time and resources," Vanessa countered. She wasn't a fan of playing with black holes as they tended to be problematic at best. They could suck out the atmosphere and leave the planet uninhabitable or mess with it in some other way. Still, it was better to deflect than disagree.
"Well let's work with what you have." Xavier replied as "How long before they are ready to be deployed?"
"Engineering is making them as quickly as possible," Vanessa replied. "Science is ready to seed the upper atmosphere to temporarily lessen the pollutants and facilitate transporters. Tully is ready with the probes."
"Get them launched once the meeting is over, it's time we go see what the actual situation is in the mines. Get Doc RJ to accompany us... you and the Commandsr, as well as a member of Engineering."
Amelix was distracted by something on her PADD when she said, "Um, did I tell everyone that we are ready to seed the upper atmosphere and the probes are ready?" She shuffled her left foot bashfully. "I did say that, didn't I? Or was I still talking about the merits of a micro black hole? I really have a great staff! They're working hard on all my experiments!"
"Then you have the go ahead, and as soon as its safe to beam down, we will head down to investigate the surface, see if the other things are true, what they said about the illnesses and unsafe work conditions that we put them through."
"Who? Me?" Amelix asked. "Or were you referring to someone else? I'm very confused, Captain."
"Doesn't matter Lt, as long as it gets done." Xavier replied, "Dismissed."
Amelix, looking very confused, left the room. Her confusion abated quickly, as she looked at a PADD and could be heard muttering, "if we just tweaked the gravitational field...."
"Did I confuse her Lt?" He asked Jackson. "Maybe I just want to get this mission over with, we have been through a lot. All of us."
"No. She tries to do everything at once and get confused sometimes," Vanessa said. "Tully and I will make sure it gets done, sir." Since she'd been dismissed, she turned and followed after Amelix.
Marisa waited until they were gone to smile. "Well, the new Chief is certainly something. I look forward to seeing how she settles in."
"Absolutely, now I think its time to get to the negotiations."
