Greyson sat down at his computer, something was going on, the Captain had gotten a call from starfleet, one that he had not been privy of. Concerned he dug around a little bit. He was in his lounge clothes, just taking it easy. As he was ordered to do.
Suddenly he felt a nudge on his shoulder, then his arm being wrapped, and him being tugged. Smiling, he looked and her tail was wrapping around his arm, wanting to lead him into the bedroom. He turned the swivel chair around, and looked up. “Shore leave. I believe its time to do what we do best?” She motioned to the branches.
Smiling he looked to the trees, looked at her, her blue skin with darker tints in all the right places. Her long tail, allowed for more… sensations and more positions than one could have. Being that the tail, upon him learning was primarily used for the heavy lifting, which had included him, on multiple occasions. Their sense of intimacy far outreached anything Humans had, or any of the other races that he had known, or met.
“You know one of these days, its going to be me carrying you into the bedroom.” Greyson replied as all of a sudden he was scooped up by the tail. Only to be interrupted by the door.
“Who could that be.” Talshi replied, puzzled, as she walked to the door, however as usual, she did not let him down. But brought him with her.
“Hey wait a min…” He shouted as the jolt was quick. And didn’t have time to adjust himself and flipped upside down. Within seconds the door opened.
Benoit cocked his head, “Bad time Commander.” He replied as he stood up. “Lt…”
Talshi nodded, and let Greyson go, after hearing a thud, she looked behind her and to the floor, where he was slowly getting back to his feet.
“Sorry Commander. I know you were about to… well. We all know.” He paused as he turned to the two. “Thats not why I am here.”
Looking over at Tal, he gave a disapproving eye. “Come in Christopher.” He gestured, to the oversized chair, the mock branch on the wall, which was three decks high. He still recalls the time that Talshi came aboard, he was impressed with her, over nine feet, blue skin, those eyes. The tail, who could forget that. This wasn’t the first time he had been held upside down. It happened one of the first meetings as well as he was assistant chief. When she made the decision to stay one of her requests was to make a place more like her home. Being from the rainforest. The hydroponics cargo bay being able to be turned into a greenhouse for such plants was decided. It was huge, and big enough for a small forest. So to speak.
He looked around, and it did change, a lot. Especially with the kid gone. Nine years old and hes already gone to the academy. He would live probably three hundred years, being only half Na’vi. Talshi would live double that if not more. It kind of scared him, being such a miniscule part of his sons life. But he was assured that it wouldn’t be a small part.
Nodding he took a seat in the small corner of the room, since the rest was literally a jungle and vines. He wondered how they would take this.
Greyson sat down on his regular chair as he watched Tal climb the tree and sit on its branch. Her usual spot when she was denied the bedroom. She got accustomed to Starfleet customs, it did not mean she had to like them though.
“The Remmington is being refitted, and the crew reassigned.” Christopher replied bluntly. “They feel the ship could use a new crew. From scratch.”
This peaked Tals interest, and she slowly lowered herself down, and what looked to be levitating five feet above the ground. Where in fact that her tail was wrapped around the branch she had just been sitting on.
~How does she do it~ Christopher thought to himself then shook it off. “I put in for my retirement, as I'm nearing the time. They refused, based on rising hostilities around. They want experienced captains out there.”
Finally she lowed herself completely. “So… We are going to another ship.”
“Actually… Well yes… They wanted you guys to be on a nova class starship, the USS Hermes.”
Tal tilted her head. “They named a ship after a disease?”
“No Tal, that's Herpes. Hermes, was a greek deity, being considered a messenger of the gods.” Greyson replied as rolled his eyes. What was simple was still becoming new to her.
“Oh.”
“They wanted us to…”
“Well.. they had no grounds to refuse my retirement, I'm at legal age, I did my time. I knew that the Hermes couldn’t be fixed to accommodate you. So I decided to remain in the fleet, taking command of the USS Drake. With tensions with the Klingons high. The drake is set to patrol their borders. There are no more long missions for me, I'll refuse them.”
“Greyson is getting his own ship.” Tal said with a smile. “You hear that” She turned to him.
“Actually, he's not getting ranked up or his own ship. A couple of people believe he can handle the job. The USS Resolution, a bigger ship than the Remmington, its made a name for itself, it has a great captain. Matthew Leonard, one who can teach you the ropes. With several new ships being built, I have successfully added your name. It is still six months away from being started to be built, but the USS Bismarck will be his when its built.”
“The Bismarck is a sovereign class starship. Certainly hope I can do her justice” He looked to her. Turning back to the chair he brought up the Resolution. “Galaxy class.”
Standing Christopher walked to the door. “Ill lock the door on my way out.” Christopher replied as he smirked walking out of the quarters.
“Excellent.” Greyson replied, suddenly realizing that he was slowly being constricted, looking down noticing a tail wrapped around him. “Oh… shi…..” he was able to get out before he was hauled off up into the trees.
