Captain Jason Reeves, Commanding Officer
USS Bryggen

Lt. Commander Tony Johnson, Chief Security/Tactical Officer
USS Resolution

=Security Office=

Tony had spent the last few hours setting up his new office. It didn’t take long to realize that someone was standing in his doorway. The man wore command red with the rank of Captain. One would’ve assumed this to be the Resolutions Commanding Officer, but Tony made it a point to familiarize himself with the Senior staff upon arriving on board. ‘Can I help you Sir?”

“Sorry, I was just passing through my office one last time,” the older gentleman spoke. “You must be Lieutenant Commander Tony Johnson.”

Finally realizing who he was speaking to you, Tony stood up and walked around the desk. “And you are Captain Jason Reeves. What brings you back on board?” Johnson extended his hand.

Jason accepted his hand and shook it. “My daughters Kimora and Leila wanted to say goodbye to their friends one last time before I drop them off on Earth with their grandparents. They literally grew up on the Res. Its not as big as a Galaxy glass starship, which is why I am leaving the girls on Earth. But the Norway class is a good ship nonetheless, developed mainly for fighting.”

“I’ve never served on a ship with families,” Johnson admitted. “Not to mention a crew of this size.”

“Now that’s where things get interesting,” Reeves chuckled. “Especially working the security of this ship. Your not trying to maintain order with the officers and enlisted on this ship. But now you have to learn to deal with civilians.”

Tony raised an eyebrow as his curiosity set in. “How so?”

“Your used to dealing with people who signed up to be in Starfleet,” Jason explained. “But their spouses and children never signed up for this. Just wait until you deal with teenagers getting into trouble.”

The Commander couldn’t help but to laugh, recalling his own teenage years. “I see what you mean. So what you made you decide to take Command of Bryggen?”

“Wolf 359 was a serious kick in the ass,” Reeves acknowledged. “Though it was just five years ago, I can still remember reading the battle report. I was ready to remove my children from the Resolution that day. Fortunately the Borg never returned and the need for them to leave never came up. No Starfleet has developed all these new ships with defeating the Borg in mind. In the back of my mind, I know they’re going to return.”

“So your basically putting yourself in the position to deal with the Borg threat?”

Captain Reeves simply nodded. “The Federation got complacent. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for exploration. But there are people out there who wouldn’t mind wiping us out. So we need ships like the Norway class and Captain’s that know how to fight.”

“I couldn’t agree with you more.,” Johnson spoke. “Any other advice?”

“Nothing else to say,” he chuckled with a nod. “You got this. See you around Commander.”
