Anger management

Mission:
The Lost Brother
Location: Tony’s quarters
Timeline: 2 hrs after the post briefing gathering
Having given Tony a couple of hours to cool off, Sky made her way to the other woman’s quarters to check on her. Pressing the chime she hoped to find Tony in a better mood.
Not really in the mood for company Tony opened the door anyway and was not surprised to see Sky standing there. "What can I do for you?"
Sky offered a brief smile. “Can we talk?”
"I guess so." She gestured for the other woman to come in.
Walking in Sky waited to be invited to sit instead of automatically taking a seat. “We need to talk about your outburst Tony.”
Tony waved it away. "Please sit, do you want something to drink? It won't happen again."
Sky took a seat. “Nothing for me, thank you. How can you be sure that it won’t happen again? You really lost it with Xavier, you’re lucky he’s willing to tolerate it.”
"I don't know if he will tolerate it. He can pull me from duty even longer, or you could. Look Sky I really did not know I had this anger in me. I will make sure it does not come out again. But I need to be involved in finding my brother. I have not stopped Xavier from working, I have even postponed therapy so his work can come first. I am letting you continue to work. So why the hell are the pair of you out to punish me." She felt the anger rise again and took a few deep breaths to force it back down.
“That’s just it Tony, we’re not out to punish you” Sky offered an understanding smile. “Have you stopped to think that you’re letting your emotions cloud your judgement?”
"And that does not go for Xavier or you? next time you plead with me I should just pull you off duty? Why are the rules different for me? I know how these boys think. I grew up with all three of them. I am the best bet they have got."
“Exactly!” Sky nodded. “Which is why you need to be rested, and clear headed. You’d never forgive yourself if something happened.”
"Do you really think this is restful.” Tony could not believe her ears. "Or that I would even be able to sleep. I am more wound up than if I would be working, involved in the rescue."
Sky nodded. “Okay so what can you do from here that would be useful? You know your brother better than anyone, so why don’t you put us together a profile? What would he do in this situation? Where would he go? Anything could be helpful right now.”
"Yeah and that would be work wouldn't it?" Tony replied. "And it would be even more useful if I did that with the thinktank he is putting together. And just when I thought I could trust him and that he was trusting me. Bam it all blows up in my face."
Sky sighed she could see this wasn’t going to be easy. “Put yourself in my place Tony, as a therapist what do you see when you look at your own behaviour right now?”
"Ah so next time you beg me to let you keep working I should ignore that and put you on forced rest. Is that what you mean?" Tony raised an eyebrow.
“Not at all Tony” Sky sighed. “I’m not getting anywhere right now am I?” She stood up from her seat. “I’ll leave you to cool off for now, we can talk again later.”
"Fine." Tony was too angry to stop her friend. Even though she felt terribly lonely right now.
Sky nodded. “You know where to find me if you want me” with that she headed on her way.
"Yeah." Was all Tony could manage as she saw her friend leave. This was not turning out to be a good day.
