Mission: The Lost Brother
Location: sky's office
Timeline: after mission

=incoming call= her comm notified her and as soon as she picked up commodore Parri's face appeared. The woman looked gaunt and as if she had not slept at all.

"Lieutenant Jansen, can I have a moment of your time?"

Sky offered a tired nod as she answered the comms. “Of course Commodore, What can I do for you?”

"I need to know if my sons are alright."

Sky offered a comforting smile. “They’re safe Commodore. Our doctors are taking care of them as we speak. Tasin is in intensive care, his wounds were the most severe.”

"Oh god. Will he be ok? Any lasting damage? And Melor and Nicky?"

Sky tried to be reassuring. “Melor is fine, Nick is...traumatised, as for Tansin I’m afraid I don’t know. Our doctors are the best, try not to worry.”

"Will you look after all my boys?" Denise said softly. "Don't tell Tasin about his dad yet. Wain had a heart attack, the doctors were barely able to save his life. He will live but he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. And go easy on Nicky. He is a very gentle kid."

Sky nodded but didn’t say anything about the fact that Nick had struck her. “Look after your husband Commodore, we’ll take care of your boys. I’ll keep in touch, that’s a promise.”

"Thank you." denise hesitated. "Tony has been keeping me updated and she speaks highly of you, Sky. Consider yourself off the hook with me."

Sky smiled the biggest smile yet. “Thank you Commodore, that is very much appreciated! Tony is a good friend, I intend for it to stay that way.”

"Good. She needs friends right now. This can't be easy on her either." Denise smiled.

Sky shook her head. “No it isn’t, but she’ll get through this.”

"Yes she will and you take care of yourself as well. You have a full caseload from the sound of it."

Sky nodded. “I do indeed, a Counsellor’s life is never a dull one.” She grinned.

"That is very true. Let me know if you need any help."

“I will Commodore, that’s a promise.” Sky smiled. “Go be with your husband, he needs you right now.”

"Thank you. That is at least one load of my mind." Denise admitted.

“Let me know how he is when you know, I won’t say anything to your sons yet.” Sky smiled.

"For now he is stable. He came through the operation well but the doctors say it will be weeks or months before he is back to normal."

Sky nodded. “Well that’s recovery time that you can spend together” she smiled.

"Yes. He is a delight when he is ill." Denise chuckled.

“Aren’t all men!” Sky grinned. “They think being off their feet is the end of the universe!”

"Oh yes. And my husband is a horrible patient. Thankfully the doctor here has his number."

Sky grinned. “That’s Good. Keep in touch and let me know how he’s doing.”
