The Klingon Sergeant

Posted on Wed Nov 30th, 2022 @ 12:28am by Commander Antonia 'Tony" Stoffels & Lieutenant Commander Diane Doctrine

Mission: Traitor amongst us?
Location: Ship's Brig

The female Klingon sergeant was pacing in her cell. Bloody Federation bastards had tried to trick her. She had welcomed an honorable death but these cowards had tricked her. She could only hope the young lieutenant had not fallen for it. He was such a weakling.

The opaque containment field became transparent. Commander Doctrine stood on the other side. She was wearing her black intelligence uniform and stood with her hands folded neatly behind her back. She spoke in Klingon, "So, are you feeling more cooperative today?"

She swore back at the Federation woman in Klingon making it very clear that was the last thing on her mind.

Diane shrugged, "Okay, fine."

The containment field went back to it's opaque status. The Sergeant could see nor hear anything going on outside.

"You will not break me, human! I am not weak." She yelled.

The containment field went transparent again. "Yeah, we know!" Diane teased.

The containment field went back to being opaque.

Her fist hit the screen in utter frustration. "You are a coward! Come in here and face me woman to woman!"

She started to walk in circles. The sergeant wondered how much of the plan had been set in motion. The humans had not mentioned anything yet, she had no idea of knowing if the other tendrils of her lord's master plan were working out. She knew lord Reshtarc had been working towards this for years waiting patiently until all his moles were in place both on earth and the mole they had on this ship to strike. Then it would be she who had the last laugh.

Diane stood on the other side of the containment field listening and shaking her head while reviewing, in her mind, Klingon fighting techniques. There was a very high probability she would be able mop every centimeter of the cell up with their captive but that might not sit well with the captain, the security chief, and the CMO. 'What to do, what to do,' she thought.

"Come on coward!" The Klingon kept taunting her. "Be a real warrior."

Diane laughed. "Real warriors know when violence won't do any good," she replied as the containment field went transparent once more. "I have nothing to prove to you. There's nothing I have to prove to you. Your plans have failed. Reshtarc's plans will fail. You've already lost and there's no way your honor will ever be restored."

"Hah! Wait until we strike again! You will never see it coming. The enemy on this ship will die and there is no way you can stop it."

Diane chuckled, rolled her eyes, and folded her arms across her chest. "It's already been stopped." She was saying very little in an effort to trick this Klingon into 'monologuing'. It was a technique that usually worked well with Klingons because they liked to brag.

"Ha! I highly doubt it." She said. "You will know when it happens and it will be too late." She was very pleased with herself.

"Doubt all you want," Diane smiled back at the Klingon, "But I'm telling you, nothing will happen. Your two friends sang like canaries and they're getting asylum for it. They'll never have to work with, or even see, an honorless wretch like you again."

"They are the ones who have no honour. I would never betray my lord."

Diane laughed again, "Your Lord has already betrayed you."

"I am expendable." The sergeant said. "You will be back here, human."

"Indeed, you are expendable, never to be rewarded for a job not done." Diane made it sound like she hadn't a care in the world. Then the containment field went opaque again.

Sergeant Khot just laughed. Her lord had prepared her well for this mission and her stupid lieutenant had not even realised he was the brains of this mission.

Outside the cell, Diane leaned against the bulkhead rubbing her fingernails on her uniform tunic. She stopped and examined them a moment and decided she might be in need of a manicure. She heard the prisoner laughing and knew she wouldn’t be laughing much longer.

Diane left the brig deciding it might be time to enlist some help to get the information she needed from this particular prisoner.
