Fighters arrival

Mission: Starship Side Quest
Xavier walked out of the lift, and towards the hangar that the fighters were flying the fighters in, not only were they getting fighters, but the whole squadron along with it. Now he wasn't familiar with fighters on starships, but he was aware of how useful they could be when engaged in battle. "What do you think of the addition Commander."
"I think it is useful, sir. But it will take some getting used to. I don't believe you have much experience with fighter pilots and I have none. We have to make sure that we work together as a unit."
"There was never a need, given that we went out to the void, we met none, but tal."
"Then we can all learn together." Tony said iwht a smile. "Let's go and see how they are settling in."
[Fighter Bay]
The scene was organized chaos, technicians and Mechanical types moving about the fourteen main fighters with six set aside in a far corner near a platform that lowered to the lower hangar deck for storage and limited repair facility are normally kept. Other Operations personnel move containers to specific locations while munitions personnel busied themselves with loading the storage racks along the walls.
Flight Operations were using hover lifts to move the Fighters about the scene, maintaining careful speeds no faster than walking to place the fighters in registered 'slots' in order of Pilot Readiness order. Three levels of racking like structure were the "Births' to house the waiting fighter during storage and secure them to the ship. six 'Slots on the deck were marked 'Ready Fighters.'
At the area closest to the Main entrance Two figures stood out. The first was the 'Air Boss'; a subdivision of Flight Operations in charge of the 'Fighter Deck' and placement of fighter in ready position. A tall man in his mid thirties with the air of authority common among Officers in his duty slot.
"STill think that your arrangement is ... well not procedure," O'Mally said in a gruffer tone.
"Logic dictates we used the space in the best format; a Galaxy Class has the capability to support the Fighter Operations but was not design focused upon such, these areas were meant for Runabouts and shuttles, not the Fighter craft we utilize. Mind sets were for exploration not combat or militant processing of a possible War of escalated Police Action."." Troilin stated in a mild tone, her pleasant style voice pitch coming through.
She wore her flightsuit and boots with a leather flight jacket modeled after the standard uniform coat, a small patch of the Squadron Logo on the left shoulder. Her hair in a neat bun and she sport a fancy tight holster with a percussion weapon and spare rounds along the back of the belt. But the reflective aviator style sunglasses caught attention at first glance.
"Hold that thought." Troilin said as she sensed new 'Blips' in her sphere of note. "Officers on the Deck." SHe announced for all to hear."
The scene seemed to pause as the Figter Pilot turned on her heels and moved to see the Captain and First Officer.
"Lieutenant Trilon Captain." Offering a salute and extended hand. "I did not expect Officer review until we had a chance to be presentable." She gave the appropriate smile and removed her shades to reveal her Betazoid eyes.. "Pleasure to have you both Here." Looking to Stoffels. "PLease excuse the mess, making adjustment Commander."
Tony waved them down. "Nothing official today, just getting to know you. "Nice to meet you lieutenant Troilin. I am Tony Stoffels and this is Xavier Carey." She looked towards the other man.
Troilon shook the offered hand . "Give me twenty four hours and we will have this place looking like it has always been here." She assured.
"That is very reassuring." Tony said. "We have some missing crew members and as soon as all your people and equipment are in board we will join the search for them."
"Given our personal relationships. it had been required we both remain on this ship." Xavier turned. "So tell me briefly about your squadron, numbers, experience."
"We have 15 flight worthy birds in the racks ready to launch on an alert status. Troilon rattled off. "Another six in reserve and 24 ready pilots to have a full 24 hour rotation of Flight Ready craft." She continued. "Several machine shops and industrial Replicators should the need arrive. Our own magazine of torpedoes both Micro and standard size for belly or wing mounts for two full torpedo runs per armed fighter." She concluded. And if I can get twenty four hours that will all be in ready status."
"That's impressive." Tony said. "We are very glad to have you and your people on board."
"It is not often I get to serve on a Capitol ship like the Galaxy Class." She explained. "Setting up a fighter wing on a vessel not originally planned for one is quite stimulating. I am looking forward to finding new ways to serve a Science designed vessel."
"And we will be more than happy to help you."
"Stimulation is something I like the sound of, and anything you need, you have just say the word."
"I can always use a good recommendation to your supply Officer." Troilon gave a slight grin. "Outside that other tan oeders we will haldly be in your reports, my Bird and Pilots are behaved or I deal with it in house."
"Sounds good. Glad to have you on board."
