Bright lights and wedding bells.

Mission:
Brief Stay
Location: Vegas chapel
ON:
Larissa, Rosalyn and Jenny arrived in Las Vegas to all of the sparkling lights. It certainly lived up to the reputation. It was a short walk before they arrived out the front of a sweet chapel. Just like RJ had mentioned it was still open and they had billboards up about being married by Elvis 'The King' Presley.
"This looks like the place. All we need is the groom and we can get this sorted. Still, you and the Doc? This seems a bit sudden."
"He's part Betazoid. There's something in this whole whirlwind that just feels like it's right. That we are meant to be." Rissa replied.
"Guess we can't argue with that. Seeing the track record of that race, I think you might just be right." Rosa smiled. "You hurt my boss, and as much as you are a sister, it will be trouble.
"Duly noted and doubtful at best."
"Okay then, girl. Knowing Doc, he has already been getting plans into place."
=^=Iverby to Milton. Doc, I have one lovely bride and future daughter waiting outside a very sweet little chapel. We are ready when you are. Iverby out.=^=
Milton had taken a few minutes longer to get things in order; getting the place for the Honeymoon on this short f notice had taken some real People Skills ; and dropping he was a Federation Doctor got it moving. The desk staff were a bit taken with Pix and some explanation to convince she is a living person instead of a hologram.
It also might have looked a little strange with a man in a white double-breasted suit with a black formal vest and white shirt and black tie. His proper wide brim hat adorning his head to complete the picture. While a glowing Fae seems to be trailing over his shoulder as he closed distance.
"I know it iz tradition of the Bride being the norm; the City Folks do not have the same laid-back manner that I am accustomed to back in my Home Town and such..."
He stopped at the sight of Larissa...
Standing in front of him was Larissa in a beautiful wrap around dress that started out pure white and gradually changed to a beautiful deep teal at the bottom. It had a ‘mermaid tail’ to it giving it a short train. Her hair was down and swept over to one side Over her left ear was a Hibiscus and she had a short veil pinned in at the back. Larissa had on a pair of dangling seashell earrings with a simple White gold Dolphin pendant and the longer chain that had Julian’s ring on it. The second was a little more out of sight thanks to the cross over of the wrap around dress.
“So, what do you think? Not too much, I hope? It was kind of a quick throw together.” She blushed a moment. “You look like the picture of southern charm.”
"Saying I caught a good one might be putting it lightly." His brain did manage to get out. "Since we are all..." He noted another face. "Nice to see yew off duty Rosalyn." He moved to kiss the knuckle as Gentlemen do.
“Well, someone has to look after this precious bundle to free up both of mumma’s hands and Auntie Rosa wouldn’t miss this for the world. I can get a holo from the staff after as well.” Rosa beamed with one little Jenny in her arms in a pretty little two tone white and teal dress. “Besides, I’m a witness, babysitter and can play octopus holding stuff like flowers. So, you two about ready to see the king about a ring?”
"I think it would be best for the fact we did get all Gussied-Up for that."
Milton opened the doors to the Theme Song of Elvis on the loudspeakers. Entering the small chapel was almost like stepping back in time as the several of the King's Costumes in glass displays lined the entrance to the Chapel where a middle-aged woman was at a podium with a wide smile.
"Welcome to the Presley Chapel." She greeted. "Whom might be the happy Couple we are uniting tonight?"
"This Lovely Lady Larissa and I Rutherford would like to be wedded if you all do not mind?" Milton replied. "This is our Witnesses Rosalyn and the Baby Jennifer."
Milton did give the full names of he and Larissa for the official records.
"I am Linda your Hostess for this happy occasion." Her Blue dress was modest and simple so not to take from the Bride. "Elvis is in the building..." She winked as Linda lead them to the small chapel where the ceremony would take place.
Larissa had a little giggle. She had an uncle who had been quite the Elvis fan. She smiled away at RJ. “So that’s what the ‘ar’ stands for at least. I suppose I will find out the ‘Jay’ bit soon enough too.” She kept in step with RJ and the hostess, looking forward to what would come next.
"James..." Milton whispered. "Surprise as I happen to have two 'Roses' in a way as well."
"Two Roses?" Larissa looked a little puzzled.
"Larissa Rose and Rosalyn." Milton mentioned quietly.
That was when it hit her. *Of course! He saw my medical file when we first met!*
"Medical files don't leave much room for mystery." She quietly replied.
The chapel was tastefully done with a few actual pews on each side for about a dozen people. The walls were white with some sequins mixed playfully to match Elvis costume colors. The song Fools Rush in playing over the semi-muted speakers.
On a raised stage was a man in Full Elvis white costume with the cape standing ready for the marriage; the sunglasses and hair cut to be a very true representation of Elvis.
Larissa was beaming, it was starting to feel more real that they were about to get married.
"I'd like to 'Thank you Very Much ' for coming to us to perform your happy nuptials." Elvis began "Thank You, Thank you very much."
"We could not see any other way to celebrate our coming together; it is in theme with the events as we see it." Milton said as he gave her hand a squeeze. "We wanted it memorable and all.”
“A whirlwind romance. An uncle once said, ‘leave it to the King when romance is involved.’ The old holos in Hawaii were beautiful, I think this is perfect for us.” Larissa squeezed back.
"I can tell by your choice of Groom and Uncle your family has very good tastes." Elvis complemented. "Huh huh huh..."
"I'd like to think so." Larissa replied with a smile.
If you would face each other, please." Elvis instructed and the two turned just as a brighter spotlight of shimmering brilliance encompassed both Larissa and Milton from above. "You brought your own spotlight?"
"Pix is a bit overly happy." Milton explained pointing to the hovering figure above.
Latissa giggled for a moment. "Not that we would ever want to take away from your own spotlight."
Larissa looked deep into the eyes of her soon to be husband, just trying to take the moment in.
Milton returned the gaze and gave a wink to acknowledge their connection.
Clearing his throat Evils had their attention.
"We are gathered here today to unite these two people as 'Some things are meant to be..."
Before Milton realized Elvis was talking to him.
"Please place the ring on your bride's finger." Elvis instructed.
Milton gently took her left hand and slipped the ring upon it that he and Pix chose earlier.
"Do you Rutherford James Milton, take this woman Larissa Rose Riley as your wedded Bride, to have and hold in sickness and health. To give her all your Hunk human burning Love til death do you part?"
Milton smiled and almost laughed at his Hunka Love thing, but he just looked in Larissa's eyes and all was confirmed.
"I do." Came his simple yet significant reply.
Elvis put attention upon the Bride.
"You can put the symbol of your love upon your Groom's finger."
Larissa could not keep her hands from trembling slightly. *this is really going to happen* was her thoughts.
"Do you Larissa Rose Riley, take this man Rutherford James Milton to be you wedded husband? In sickness and health while to him being a heart that's true til death do you part."
Larissa beamed, having to stifle a giggle at the song reference. The only thing that truly filled her sight was RJ.
"I do." The words came out in a thick southern Aussie accent.
"Unless some wishes to be cruel to these hearts that are true..." Elvis paused then nodded. "With the authority given me by The Church of the King and the state of Nevada, I pronounce these two Husband and wife. What God has brought together let no man set asunder..."
Elvis gave the signature double finger shots and winked.
"You may kiss the Bride..." He announced. "Hubba, hubba..."
Larissa looked down at the two rings on her finger for a moment before looking up rather delightedly into the eyes of her rather recently acquired love and now husband.
"The veil was pinned in more for looks than anything." She beamed. "Come here, hubby." She said with a little giggle as she took a step in, to bridge the gap and was close to en pointe.
Milton leant down and gave the kiss she deserves and a hint on how he felt, to say passionate but aware of an audience.
Pix flew in a fast tight pattern half a meter from them in a tight orbital bank, then back above them in hovering pirouette.
"Someone else is happy and giving a blessing." He commented at the end of the kiss.
Larissa blushed. "She certainly is happy. Then again, so am I." She returned the favour, fully at en pointe, floating in position like Aurora or the queen of the fairies.
Milton had to admit he was rather taken up in the moment.
"Glad this is unanimous in the feeling." He took his 'Wife' a little closer.
"Thank you very much for your services, dear King. Personally, Teddy Bear has always been a favourite song of mine and I think Can't help falling in love will have new meaning now."
"Thank you, thank you very much." Elvis gave a smile. "May find all the happiness in your own personal Graceland."
‘I’m sure we will.” She beamed back and gave a wave.
Milton led his bride and entourage out into the lights of Vegas.
"Wait til you see the suite Pix and I scored. " Milton’s grin widened. "The Honeymoon Suite at the MGM Grand Hotel…"
“Wow, aiming to impress or was it more like magic and a bit of luck?” Larissa giggled. “I’m sure it will bowl me over and be all we could ever need. Even though a feather could probably knock me over right now.”
"I would like to think it just the best place for us to spend quality time for a couple of days before facing Two Families with the news?" Milton explained. "Plus it had extra suites so that those taking care of the little miss will be...comfortable."
“Look at you, already thinking of everything his bride and family could need.” Larissa could not have been happier. “Yeah, that will be quite the bombshell. I hope your family likes little tackers, seeing as they are inheriting one. My side has already had one shock with Jenny, one more won’t be cause for a heart attack…. And if it is … we will have a doctor around.” Larissa played a little. “Lead on, sweet man of mine.”
"I am looking forward to carrying my Bride over the threshold." Milton winked.
