You asked for it

Mission:
Those who are left behind
Location: Holodeck three
Xavier walked down the corridor, the ship had docked at starbase, POWs were being transported under heavy guard, after some white had been given to them, to calm their violent tendencies. Walking into the airlock which joined the ship to the base, he noticed the door not open automatically. Pausing pressing the console nothing happened.
"This is just great." He reached for his communicator, but a slow hiss and soon, he was enveloped in a mist. Within seconds, he felt himself collapse , then the ever feeling of being transported before being transported away.
Richard had travelled take a starbase with only a very small team of aides with him, not even his wife knew where he was going and why. But upon entering the star base unbeknownst to him he had the same him that was happening to captain Carey at another airlock. Richard did manage to get his faser are out before he lost consciousness.
Tyler sat on a log next to the fire, waiting for the two to regain consciousness. He had a long stick with a hot dog at the end roasting.
The general groaned as he regained consciousness. He was not the youngest but as a marine he came to consciousness pretty fast. "Who the hell are you?" he asked Tyler.
"Just your friendly neighborhood bartender." Tyler asked as he looked over to the Captain. "He wanted to talk to you alone, where neither of you knew, security precautions, since there has already been spies on the Resolution."
"He could have just asked." Richard grumbled as he sat up. "I really hate being stunned."
"Wheres the fun in that." Tyler replied as he got up. "Im going for a walk, you have much to discuss."
Richard sat back and waited for xavier to wake up.
It didn't take long before Xavier woke up, with a headache of course. "Looks like he took me a little too seriously." He replied, sitting up. "But you are here nonetheless."
"I am. It is always good to see you, Xavier, but I could have done without the theatrics."
"Our communications might have been hacked. I dont even know where we are."
"And here was I hoping that you knew what was going on." Richard had come to his feet and was stretching, then he moved to the door and tried the lock. "We don't seem to be locked in."
"We aren't hostages, we can leave whenever." He leaned forward. "But we ain't leaving here, until I have answers, my ship and crew has already been in harms way with whatever is going on."
"I apologize for that." Richard said frustrated. "This has been haunting my family for nearly thirty years, It had been quiet for years, I really hoped it would be over." Suddenly he looked tired and a lot older.
"I don't want apologies, I want answer."
"Do you really think I would not tell you if I had any answers?" Richard fumed. "They threaten my children!"
"There has to be something you know... who are they... people will often let people know whos after them."
"What I told you before, Xavier. We have a feud with a Klingon house going on decades. I know they have help from inside the Federation, we have cought small fish over the years but never the big guys. They are good, very good. I know they have people infiltrated in most branches of the fleet, in particular Intel. I just can't prove it."
"Its not like klingons to keep hidden, its dishonorable."
"Tell me about it. Somehow they see honour in playing such a long game. But that is one of the reasons I am convinced other races are involved. In the beginning..." He pauzed. "It was not as subtle. They would try to hurt us, but more out in the open."
"Could it be that its not even the same people. I mean to go attacking in the open to behind the scenes... thats usually opposite. More like Romulan interference."
Richard thought for a bit. "You are right, what is happening now does not fit. Yet I am an easy target for everyone. Too many people are aware of the feud and could missuse that for their own reasons. I had not concidered that captain."
"I need you to think about what other group or individual that might have it in for you. Or maybe even someone close. Masquerading as an Ally of yours."
"I will, but that may take a while. A sector general makes a lot of enemies along the way." Richard admitted.
"I wouldn't doubt that." Xavier replied as he leaned back. "May I suggest going in hiding?"
He shook his head. "I am a serving sector general, I don't hide. I will suggest it to my wife and I will strongly recommend it to my children. What about Toni? She will not want to and my father in law? And the London's are they involved this time?"
"No idea, but chances are..." Xavier replied as he stood. "As for Toni, she is where she needs to be."
"Yes she would not go into hiding. Nor will any of the members of the family who are in active service. We will try to protect the rest."
"How about you do me a favour... the cardassian former council is in need of hiding, and protection... can you help with that."
"I can." Richard said. "Can you tell me more?"
"Well we have to find them first, starfleet has narrowed them to four systems in cardassian space. Their Information they would provide would deem invaluable. But the mission is considered a suicide mission, and our informant, is set with me going with to retrieve the information."
"You plan to take your ship?" Richard asked of course worried for his daughter.
"The ship is no longer mine. There is a new Commanding Officer."
"Are they punishing you for what happened?" Richard asked. "For standing up for my daughter?"
Xavier paused, "No, your daughter is the new Commanding Officer of the Resolution, with the chances of the mission failing so high, they figured it would be best to assign a new commanding Officer. Shes the right person for the job."
That caught the general off guard. "She accepted?"
"Didn't give her a choice." Xavier replied. "I think you have to have a chat with your daughter. Give her a boost of confidence she needs right now."
"You seem to have a lot of confidence in her." Richard said emotion in his voice. "This isn't too soon?"
"Ive known her for a long time. She is ready. However, I intend to return."
"I don't think Toni would want it any other way. She has a great deal of respect for you."
"As I do her. Ready to leave." He stood
"You take care." Richard said as he stood to leave himself. "I will do what I can to help."
"We have time to figure it out, we need to find them." He walked out of the room, revealing himself to be still on the Resolution, Holodeck 3.
