Mission:
The Lost Brother
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Prior to ‘After this mission’
Tal moaned as she opened her eyes, her throat burned, her chest felt tight. It was nothing she had ever felt before... "Doctor... what is going on?"
you need some rest is all." Milton put that subtle charm in his voice. " we seem to have found something you are allergic to, so I thought a little bit of your Home comforts would help you lessen the effects." He assured. "The stink bomb that was sent across really was strong and even more so with your sensitive sense of small, have you a headache enought to have you pass out."
He looked in through the observation window. "You know that the planet you come from is not comfortable to us so I had you nap in a place where you could enjoy it and not affect anyone else really."
Sky was at the replicator getting herself a drink and a snack when she heard Talsi’s voice. Moving across she placed her plate and cup down on the side as she watched Rutherford with Talsi. “Hey...” she smiled. “Welcome back, we were worried about you.”
Tal looked around. Xavier wasn't there, though she knew with Sky here, he had been, "That stunk."
Sky nodded. “Trust me Xavier is feeling very upset about what’s happened to you.”
"I know." She gave a smile, as she reached for her hand, bringing it up and kissing it.
Sky smiled as Talsi kissed her hand. “I’m glad you’re okay Tal, I was worried about you. I didn’t sense anything was wrong until we got a call to say you’d collapsed.”
"It happens. Smells aren't friendly to my people... hell, some of Xaviers flatulance can do this to me almost."
Sky tried not to laugh at that comment, it was good seeing Tal looking so much better. “How long do you think it’ll be before Talsi can come home Rutherford?”
Let us reconnect the ship first and then discuss her resting at home." Milton said. "I want to keep here here and in that room that we can close off and give her a blast of her native atmosphere and smell while we observe her for a few more hours just to be safe and all."
Sky nodded. “You’re the Doctor, Whatever you say goes” she grinned at Rutherford, then looked back at Talsi. “Would you like me to stay for a while?”
"If you don't mind." Tal replied. "So tell me... Doc... anything to help me from this happening again?"
"I could prepare a type of anti-toxin ; like an epinephrine of sorts that you can inject yourself at the first signs of onset of a similar reaction." Rutherford scratched his chin as thinking of what else he could do?" "IT will lesson the effects and give you time to get a medic or clear the area." Hesighed. "The down side is that you have to apply it quick and most likely it is not a long term cure. More like a field dressing that will have to be dealt with later. Yet, it could save you next time." He nod. "I am having your scans and such run to get the right formula but that will take my doing some research and calculation of dosage so Give me a couple of hours for the full toxic breakdown." He winked. "Want it to be effective you know."
Sky looked towards Rutherford. “Can I stay at Tal’s bedside, or do I need to be outside the chamber?”
"Put on the protective filter and gloves to be sure the baby is not affected and I will allow it, Any itchy nose or tingling skin you clear out." Milton warned. "I do not take chances with anyone getting sick; especially those dependent of life support from the mother." He grinned. "So if you excuse me I need to work on that anti-toxin so Talsi does not go through this again." Grinning he started to turn and exit. "Pix would not like it if I did not take the best care of Talsi, she has a liking of you both so I need to stay on her good side."
Sky nodded. “Understood loud and clear. I’ll be right back Tal” She moved across to where the protective clothing was picking up the protective filter and gloves, then returned to Talsi’s side. “I’m here for as long as you need me.”
Tal nodded,"I knew there wasa reason why we love you."
Sky grinned. “Because no matter what I’ll always be at your side.” She held onto Tal’s hand. “Now close your eyes and rest.”
