*****
Sickbay

Diana Morrison walked through the doors of sickbay from across the hall from counseling. Considering that they were practically neighbors, plus she needed to get her initial onboard check up. The Lieutenant figured it was as good a time as any to introduce herself.

Milton had his sights locked on the Faye hovering in front of him. The soft jingle of small bells as a finger was being used and the expression of a sour face looking at the Doctor.

"Really Pix." Milton was saying. "It was not that bad, so the little Girl called you Tink instead of Pix, she was only four years old and barely got that out." He noted someone off to his side and put up a finger. "Hold that thought." He turned to the woman that he had noticed in his personnel files as being the Deputy Counselor. "Why Hello Lt. Morrison..." He had to think. "I did not forget my appointment did I?" He shrugged and Pix the Faye went to sit on his shoulder. "I know your file as part of medical." He offered a hand. "You can call Me Doc RJ, my name is so formal and we will be working together so why not?"

"Well Doc RJ just figured I would introduce myself," Diana spoke and accepted his hand. "You can just call me Di. And no you didn't forget a thing. Just wanted to see if you could squeeze me."

"In... you did mean Squeeze you in right?" Milton chuckled. "In my circles to Squeeze is a word for a hug, I am presuming you meant for an appointment?"

"Yes for an appointment," she chuckled.

"I thought as much." Milton said as he motioned to the nearest Biobed. "If you would not mind having a seat on the Biobed we can begin?"

Morrison hopped up on the biobed. "So did you and Pix come here to together?"

"That is an interesting story, I am not really sure who found whom?" He chuckled as he started the Biobed readout. "I was on a survey team and going about the planet we all reported hearing 'Bell like sounds' all around us but we never saw them." He was looking at the readout on the PADD. "Anyhow; we beamed back to the ship and nothing seemed out of place and then all the sudden I notice a little light and my staff hear bells." He chuckled. "Don't know how she did it but she keeps following me about."

Pix came fluttering closer to land a few inches out of the woman's reach, hand under her chin and head cocked to one side evaluating the New patient.

"You never wanted to return home?" Diana asked Pix.

Pix tilt her head and she looked at Milton with a shy grin while shaking her head and with her hands out in a sweeping gesture she smiled brightly then put her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels with a shrug.

"I get the feeling she likes it where she is." Milton chuckled. "The Previous Captain was ready to atake her back but it met with Pix hiding in the vents and a refusal to be replanted on her Home World." Pix shook her head and crossed her arms. "Seeing how she is with people I just never had the heart to try again." He winked to both the Ladies while running the Scan. "Pix, scans happening." Glancing to Morrison. "Have you been of good health in your opinion, anything I should look out for?"

Pix jumped a bit like she had a hot-foot then took off snf moved two meters from the bed.

"No health concerns. I just wondered if there were Prime Directive issues when Pix showed up."

The scans from the biobed began as the two talk, Pix moved laterally around the tow of them in a half circle and Milton took the moment to consult his Tricorder as he formed his words in a short version of a long process.

"Now let us pose the parameters of the Prime Directive; moswt oof which is intent and knowledge." He gave Morrison a grin. "YOu could do a Evaluation of Pix; she is sentiant and very smart, and therefore covers all three of the parameters." The inital scans were showing nothing out of the ordinary, heart rate and resparation well in the healthy range and her Oxy levels in her blood and system seemed nominal for her age and racial normal. "SO that leads into 'knowingly' interfereing and impact to a Non-Warp society or culture?"

He look the counselor square in the eye.

"And there lies the issue the pre-warp civilization," Diana spoke. "So how do you get around that?"

"We did not know there was sentiant life with a culture and still cannot verify it as we only have Pix as an example. Is she the last of her kind, not according to her, so logically re sought to return her once we found she had; of her own accord, stowed away. Now the question of how would her return to said society be handled; would she inadvertantly infect the society?" He tilt his head. "THere were debates and The Prime Directive violation investigation showed that the major hole in all of this is not being able to verify a culture as they hid from us in a follow up scans. Her people are small and there was avid animal life and plants on a very prime planet that could be a colony." He grinned. "SO Pix is an emissary since she wants to be here and had a chance to leave. Because she is an example of a culture we put the warning not to interfere with that culture to thrive and grow on it's own. We know now there is a culture and any future attempts to communicate or start a colony operation would be a violation. SO Pix's people are safely protected by the Federation to be hands off until they reach out to us."

Pix yawned and used her hands to mime talking and a second yawn.

The counselor smiled. "I'm sure when Pix returns to her people, she'll have many tales and experiences to share. Not sure if I would be so brave in the position."

"I think she likes us." He said while scanning the readings. "You know how to tell if she likes you or not right?"

"The fact that we get glitter."

"Give the woman a Pixie knowledge point. " A white rosebud of friendship seemed to appear in his hand. "You get the prize." He offered the short stemmed flower to Morrison. "And when she is sad or hirt her radiance is ... less." He shrugged. "I find the Happier we are the more she plays." He was payiong attention to her eye movements and general coloring by the surprise reaction. "Not many get it on the first asking."

Diana had a huge grin on her face as she accepted the rose. "Why thank you doctor."

"Most ladies do not like lollipops when they are good for the examination." He nod, I like the rewards system." He had checked the bio readings and they fell within the healthy range. "And the scans verify that you are able to physically sustain your duties until the next review.

Hopping off the biobed and smelling the rose, Diana towards the doctor. "Well I appreciate you and Pix taking the time squeeze me into your schedule. I better get back to the office. If either you ever need a counselor feel free catch me across the hall."
