A special visitor (Backpost)

Mission: Evacuation
Location: Security office
Timeline: During 24 hrs in security

Xavier made his way down finally to the securiy office where Sky had been awaiting for her 24 hrs. It wasn't exactly punishment... but it wasn't home either. But he still wanted to check in on her.

Sky was resting on her temporary bed as set up for her by Soran, she was nice and comfortable. “Hey..” Sky smiled as she saw Xavier enter. “Have you come to check on me?”

"Coming to check to make sure that the prisoner hasnt tried to escape actually." Xavier replied with a grin. "How you holding up?"

“Me? Escape?” Sky grinned as she put down her PADD, she’d been doing some light reading while time allowed. “I’m okay, had a visit from Tony, I asked her to bring me one or two things. I’m sorry I put you in this position Xavier, I know how awkward it must be.”

Xavier sat beside her. "Relax... I have appointed Tony or Commander Doctrine to deal with you, when it comes to situations. Given my position on the ship as CO i can't be accused of favouritism."

Sky nodded. “I’ll try not to cause any more situations from here on in. I’ll be a good Counsellor and stay out of trouble.”

"I ain't too worried. As I had stated just surprised that you are the first I have to be worried about. Not Tal... she has caused a lot of... issues when we first brought her onboard the Wellington."

“Well you don’t have to be worried anymore” She offered a warmer smile. “I’ll behave, I don’t want this future Mrs Carey to be an embarrassment.”

"Never gonna happen... it would not even be possible." He promised.

“You sure about that?” Sky grinned as she gave Xavier a playful look. “I could turn out to be the biggest pain in the ass Counsellor you’ve ever met!”

Smiling. "Most wives are the biggest pain in the ass... doesnt matter what position."

Sky couldn’t help but laugh. “Is that so? I’d hate to think what Tal would do if she heard you say that!”

"Shes the biggest pain in the ass... in several ways..."

“Seriously? You make it sound like you regret being married to her.” She gave Xavier a curious look. “You don’t...do you?”

"Are you kidding... her being a pain in my ass, keeps things interesting." He replied. "I never know what shes going to do... sometimes I pay for it other times..."

Sky nodded relieved. “I’m going to enjoy being a part of this family, I already do! The day I volunteered to have a baby for the two of you, I never imagined anything like we have now. I love it!”

"Like I have mentioned before... our intention was never to just use someone for a child. We have engaged polyamoury before. Though not to this extent obviously. Its fine when its only for one thing. The idea of another child... was something we thought of, and something that we both had agreed it was something that we wanted to have included long term. A surrogate is not an ideal thing, because it involves one person leaving."

“I guess I didn’t think of it that way at the time” Sky smiled warmly. “I’m glad it all worked out between us, at first I’ll admit it was you that I was interested in, but Tal means as much to me now as you do. We’re a family.”

"She had a feeling. Trust me she takes no offense to it."

“Good” Sky smiled. “I love you both, very much. So...I guess I have to sleep without you both tonight. It’s going to feel very odd being alone.”

"Sleep what is this you call sleep."

Sky gave Xavier a knowing look. “You’re the Captain of a starship, you know as well as I do how important you getting a good night’s sleep is! Just try while I’m not there Okay?”

"Tal might take advantage of having me all to herself."

Sky grinned. “In that case, after Tal has taken advantage of you. I love you, and I don’t like to see you looking so worn out all the time. In the long run it’s not good for your health either.”

"Perhaps... vacation when we get the chance."

Sky nodded. “A vacation would be lovely! Rutherford wants me to rest, what better way than a vacation?”

"If I cant be there i will send Tal with you."

“Oh no! A family vacation includes you. I’m going nowhere without you, especially with the threat of war looming.”

"It will be well within federation space. With war... there is hardly chance of a vacation."

“I know” Sky nodded as she gave Xavier a cuddle. “If it has to wait then it has to wait, we’ll see what time brings.”
