Mission: Traitor amongst us?
Location: Tony’s quarters

Making her way to Tony’s Quarters Sky wondered if Tony would tell her to get lost the minute she saw her. She’d promised to take care of Tony, but her usual cheery demeanour wasn’t there, feeling like she’d lost her best friend since Tony told her to go away the last time she’d seen her. Pressing the door chime she waited for Tony to call her to enter.

"Come in." Tony activated the door from her bed as she had just woken up and was still pretty unsteady.

Walking inside Sky decided a professional approach would be best.

“Good morning Commander” She offered a polite smile. “How are you this morning?”

Tony saw the way Sky looked at her and noted how distant and formal her tone was. Now the day before was mostly a blur to her but she did vaguely remember that she had not been nice to her friend, not at all and it was clear that Sky was angry with her. "Ah... doctor..." Formal, Sky clearly wanted formal right now. "Better."

“That’s... that’s good” Sky nodded wondering if Tony even remembered how she spoke to her. “You were pretty... upset when I saw you last.”

"I.. ehm...I don't remember it all." Tony admitted. "Honestly I don't know what came over me. I have never experienced anything like it. It was almost as if my brain just shut down, very scary. I am sorry if I did anything to upset you."

That was all it took, the sudden relief that her friend was still there, Sky instantly burst into tears. Embarrassed she turned away to wipe her eyes, it wasn’t professional to be seen crying. “I’m sorry... I err... I’ll be right with you.”

"Sky, what's wrong." Tony started to get up to go and comfort her friend.

“No... don’t get up.” Sky dabbed her eyes, and took a deep breath. “It’s just I... thought I’d lost your friendship. You were so adamant that you didn’t want me anywhere near you.”

Tony blushed. "I did? Oh Sky, I really don't remember. I am so sorry that is unforgivable."

“No I... I’m sorry, I should have known it wasn’t you truly talking.” Sky sat beside her friend offering a more relieved smile. “It’s not just you, it’s the hormones! I can cry at the drop of a hat these days!”

"Oh dear." Tony said. "Are you taking enough rest? You should not be working if it is stressing you out so much. Had the doctor had a good look at you."

Sky waved it off. “I’m fine now that I know we’re still friends!” She offered a much happier smile. “Besides I’m here to talk to you, not have you counsel me. So... how are you feeling, and I mean truly feeling.”

Tony sighed. "Tired, headachy and my head still feels a little fuzzy. What the hell happened to me yesterday, Sky?"

Sky gave Tony a more professional look. “You had, what we suspect, was a psychotic break. You snuck out of your quarters, and went to see Diane. Long story short you collapsed while trying to help Pix, we had to beam you both to Sickbay for immediate treatment.”

"A psychotic break?" Tony was stumped. "Me? I.... Pix, is she ok? What happened to Pix? I did not hurt her did I?"

“Not directly, no” Sky shook her head. “Pix felt how bad you felt and rushed in to try and help you. She was completely overwhelmed. I tried to help but I couldn’t get close to the room, the sheer emotion coming off of Pix was just too much.”

"Oh dear. I have to go and see Pix then, apologize and see if I can help." Tony tried to stand up but found her legs a little wobbly.

“Don’t rush it, you need time to recover” Sky offered her friend a warmer smile. “I’m just glad we’re still friends, I consider you to be my best friend Tony I’d hate to lose that.”

"Don't be silly." Tony said. "I value you too much. I was out of my head yesterday." The truth came rushing back about all the family members she had lost. "Is there any more news?"

Sky shook her head. “None that I’m aware of I’m afraid. I’ll do my best to keep you updated, but right now I’m concentrating on you. I want to help you get back to normal after everything that’s happened."

"Yeah. I have no idea what happened to be honest. I have always been strong. Why would I break under stress now?"

“It’s called bottling it up!” Sky grinned. “You take on too much Tony, then you bottle up what you’re feeling, don’t let others help and this is the result.”

She blinked. "Are you saying I am a bad patient?"

Sky shook her head. “No, not at all. I’m saying you’re human.”

Tony smiled wanly. "That is becoming painfully obvious these days. You know I had doubts about my work as first officer but never as a therapist. If my mental health..." She could not finish her sentence.

“There’s nothing wrong with your mental health Tony!” Sky offered a smile. “We all get stressed from time to time, it happens. You’ll be fine.”

"I hope you are right." Tony tried to smile. "This is all very weird for me."

Sky nodded. “I know it is, I’d feel the same in your position. Just remember I’m always here for you.”

"Thank you, Sky. I really mean it. And again I am so sorry I was mean to you."

Sky smiled and nodded. “Just promise me we’ll never argue again!”

"If I was your therapist right now I would ask you why you are so afraid of arguments. I can't promise we will never argue again. But it will not come between us."

Sky nodded. “That’s all I ask, I don’t ever want to feel like I lost my best friend ever again!”

"One fight does not end a friendship, Sky. Friends should fight. Something is not right if you can't do that."

Sky nodded. “You’re right, I was overreacting. I’m blaming the pregnancy hormones!” She grinned a wry grin.

"Thank you." Tony hugged her friend.

“My pleasure!” Sky grinned as she hugged Tony back.
