ooc I think it is better to leave Melor on earth. So Kay could be some kind of Klingon specialist as well, intelligence not just security.

Kay hit the chime to the captain's ready room and then walked into the room when the door slit open.
"You wanted to see me, sir?"

"Yes Lt, please have a seat." Xavier replied as he motioned towards the chair. "Would you like anything, a drink something to eat."

"No sir, I am fine." She said still nervous. Had she done something wrong? Had something else happened to someone in the family, her dad?

Sighing, slightly, "I have just been informed that we will be getting Lt Morrison back with us as assistant chief counsellor." Xavier replied as he leaned back. "You are currently no longer needed as a counsellor onboard the resolution."

"Oh." Kay said leaning back herself. "I see, sir. I uhm didn't do a good job? I tried."

"With the war, ships captains have been given the opportunity to move people to where they think, they will do the most good. I think counselling is wasting your strong suit... security would be more in line with your skills."

"Oh." Kay had never tought about that, she was a marine not a security officer. And she wondered how she would fit in. Or how she would be received. Right now she felt like a failure. "If you think so, sir."

"With marines currently not onboard, its best to have someone familiar with combat in security. Talk to Commander Rinne, about getting up to speed."

"Yes sir. I will, anything else?" She tried to keep her displeasure out of her voice and from her face.

"Thats everything." Xavier replied as he made a note in the file.

"Sir." She saluted and left the captain's office.
