Standing at her desk Sky was waiting for the arrival of both Tony and Xavier. After her discussion with the Admiral she had no choice but to get to the bottom of what was going on.

Tag Xavier

Tony was rather hesitant to talk to Xavier again but she also had faith in Sky so she had agreed to come here and talk to Xavier again. It did feel foolish needing a mediation.

Once both Xavier and Tony had arrived Sky took a deep breath. “I recently had a discussion with Admiral Parri, who is concerned about what is happening aboard this ship. As such I’ve been tasked with finding out what is going on between both of you, and settling it if possible.” She looked towards Xavier. “Xavier, Tony tells me that you agreed to talk with her before you suddenly reported her to her supervisor. May I ask why you decided on that course of action?”

"Didnt exactly report her to her supervisor. I inquired about information qbout counselling rules. Certain things still don’t sit well with me about it."

"Did so." Tony shot back. She was still bloody angry and not at all thinking or acting like a counsellor at the moment.

"What are we nine years old." Xavier replied. "Did not." He stuck his tongue out.

Sky shook her head. “Come on now you two! Do I need to treat you like naughty children?” She sighed, she was finding the whole situation rather stressful. “What is it about the situation that doesn’t sit well with you Xavier?”

xavier paused a moment. "Fact is i need a partner by my aide as an XO. Currently i have someone i feel that wants to be my counsellor instead. But when i show concern about her well being it.gets turned around on me. I feel anyway."

"You indicated that you felt you needed a few sessions. Then I gave you the opportunity to do them with my supervisor and you chose to do them with me. So I do not see how you are making it a problem now. The moment I started talking about you living through your feelings you bolted on me. Just like you tried to do during our sessions years ago. So I do not see how I am the bogeyman in all this."

"I never said you were nor have i ever thought that."

"Then why are you acting like this all of a sudden, Xavier?" Tony asked frustrated.

"I show my feelings when I need it. Both Tal and Sky know my feelings."

Tony looked at Sky.

Sky couldn't help but feel like piggy in the middle, it was awkward to say the least. "Then might I suggest you tell Tony how you feel?"

"Well currently i dont know how i feel to be honest. If I keep it in, ive been told its unhealthy, if I let it out, in the past its been inappropriate, and im shut down." Xavier replied, then I learn to bottle it up again, and find some special people in my life, and avoid letting all the bad stuff out, and letting certain people know how I feel. But apparently its not enough."

"Sky did not even know about your past. Talsi does not do emotions very well from what I have seen so far. Despite what you think you need to let them out. It was only when that started to happen did your healing begin when we first worked together. I am afraid that you are walking around with a hole in your heart from what happened during your long mission. You may convince yourself you are fine, and you are very good at hiding it. But stress or a dangerous situation that may be even vaguely similar may trigger a reaction and then it will come at a time when all of us don't need it. I know you Xavier Carey. You care and you need to work through this. Now I told you it did not have to be with me. I suggested my supervisor. Hell you can talk to my best friend who is a shrink for all I care. But you need to do this and you need to do this soon. It was you who said you wanted to work with me and nobody else. And a day later you turn on me. And you turn on me the moment I start getting close to the feelings that are inside you. So who is paranoid now huh?"

"I've been able to manage it as I have done so."

Tony threw up her hands. "Shall I just go and talk to the wall then?"

"Why do you feel so responsible for me. The truth."

"Did you not listen to a word I just told you." Tony looked at Sky again. "Am I talking in Klingon?"

"I wanted to work only with you is because of our history, partly because of feelings." He turned to Sky. "Not those Sky." Turning back. " probably because you understood me then, when no one else tried."

Sky cleared her throat getting both their attention. “I can see I need to set some ground rules here.” She paused and looked at Xavier. “Might I suggest that as Tony knows your history you attend a few Counselling sessions ... just to clear up Tony’s worries, and to put Starfleet’s concerns at rest ... And when I say Counselling, I mean actually talking about how you feel.”

She then looked at Tony. “Tony I want you to keep me up to date with how those sessions are going, so I can determine how long they need to proceed.” She paused before looking at them both. “You’ve both put me in a very awkward position, as such I want this resolved as soon as possible.”

"Yes ma'am." Tony said solemnly. "And I am really sorry for putting you in this spot."

Sky waved off Tony’s concerns. “It’s okay, I’m Chief Counsellor it comes as part of the territory.” She stifled a yawn her pregnancy was in its early stages but it was tiring for her nonetheless. “I just want to be able to report some progress to the Admiral.”

"This is no fault of my own self Sky. Be it, he still didn't understand how caring for your XO meant that it caused anything. But it did so it was not going to be something he denied."

“Well ... you are to attend your Counselling sessions with Tony. The results of which I will be reporting back to the Admiral.” Sky paused as she looked at Xavier. “No details I promise, that is private between yourself and Tony. I just want some progress to report, and for the two of you to get along.”

Xavier purposely sheepish, looked to the side. "Yes Ma'am"
