"Medical? I thought we had a medical before leaving the Remmington." Tal replied as they walked down the corridor. "You know I was exploring the Jeffries tubes when the Lt found me right."

Cameron merely nodded, "The time you chose to do it was when we had a medical appointment scheduled."

"When I choose to do it, makes no difference." She came back, "The last physical I had, my tail was stepped on. It took 30 minutes for a complete body scan."

Cameron looked up to her. "Well, you are almost ten feet in height, the average of everyone else was 6 ft. No one else had tails. Besides you left it swinging being uneasy."

"I dont like being scanned."

"I know you don't." He replied kissing her hand, since he couldnt reach her face. Finally they reached the sickbay and walked in.

Milton was whistling a light tune and waving his hands about in a way when his appointment entered; turning to greet them he was quite taken by the height of the woman, he almost hesitated in swirling the small bit of energy forming a glowing and woirling sphere between his hands. He gave that knowing smile. Walking a couple of steps he maintained the motions and Ball of swirling light, then realized and open his fingers and the light made a soft flurry of sparkles that faded.

"Sorry about that." Milton chuckled and wiped his hands together. "A little Tai Chi trick I do for the kids, I was practicing." Extending his hand. "Welcome to my Parlor, I am Doc Rutherford James Milton, but you can call me Doc RJ." Never losing his smile. "You must be the Greysons, pleasure is all mine?"

Wide eyed, seeing the ball of light then the sparkles. "Do that again." She replied as almost as excited as a kid seeing it for the first time. Well this was the first time, however she was not a kid.

"I aim to please." Milton said putting his hands like he was cupping something and slowly he began to wiggle his fingers as he move them in a circle and a small ball of energy began to form. "You know this was said to be passed along by the Earth Wizard Merlin..." He made the sparking sphere of light as he talk and it gew from a pea size to roughly the size of a Tennis Ball. "I learned it from an Orental Monk who said it comes from the Inner Chi that is in everyone." The Balll grew to a grapefruit. "Yo be set free into the universe..."

He tossed it towards the ceiling and a slightly larger display of sparkles.

"Parlour... interesting." Talsi replied as she looked around, this didn't look like the Remmingtons sickbay.

"Lt." Cameron greeted, "Read your file... a magician... hence the parlour reference." He looked to Talsi to take a seat. An officer with a quirk, it was something he liked oddly enough, made them stand out, its what made Tal stand out, well.... in her case standing is what made her stand out. "Last time her tail got stepped on, it was bruised for a week. Think of a pissed off cat. Its how she is when shes anxious."

"One should never call a Lady anything other than a Lady." He gesture to the exam table and looked Talsi in the eyes. "And if the Lady would take a seat on the Biobed since I am shorter and like to be able to look my patients in the eyes." He gave her a smile. "And it is harder for me to harm your tail that way Lady Talsi." End with a slight but courteous bow that should give the lady time seat herself and him not step on the tail.

Tal took a seat down on the biobed, she quickly wrapped her tail around Cameron away from the feet that was going to come around. "My scans from my last one should have been sent over from the Remmington Dr. Cant you check those."

Cameron tapped her hand lightly as his air was being restricted, her clenching tightly. "Its alright Tal... What I tell you."

"Did I fail to mention that I like to think we all have a Little bit of the child left in us." Milton Said then gave three Tweets of a whistle. Pix, can you come here? The kids love her actually." A 15 cm tall bight glowing little Pixie; blonde hair and cute green dress flew out from the Office and landed on his hand. "Can you show Lady Talsi what Pixie's do best?" A light bell jingled as she took flight, and after trail of Pixie dust in her trail that faded like the sparkles before.

While Pix was doing her flight around the woman Milton had the displays of the biobed working on low volume; which he did to keep children's attention away from the display and on the illusion. He glanced at the readings and compared them to a Padd he picked up and read the comparisons. Pix stayed just out of reach but circled Talsi slightly above her head and around the back of her Husband.

Tal eventually let her amusement overcome her, watching the magic trick, was a nice distraction, it made her wonder how it happened, but right now her mind was trying to keep sight of the little creature that was flying around. "Where'd she go." She replied leaning over trying to look at the back of Cameron.

Peeking out while hovering behind Cameron Pix waved and the shot off to circle about a bit more.

"Pixie's are playful spiritws according to myths." Milton kept the illusion while the Sensors took a more detailed swcan of Talsi and hehad a chance to use the Tricorder probe as well to get some detailed scans of the Large feminine Crew member. "Be nice Pix." He said.

The Little Pixie hesitated near the roof and then aimed for the Biobed and flew towards it. Looping towards the ground Pix flew up and stopped at eye level to Talsi did a mid-air twirl to show her cute green dress that was a thin root type strap corset top of wound vines over the soft silk like top, the oblong feather shaped leafs that were a shorter over skilrt and longer underskirt that came just to her knees. Tiny blue gems seemed to sparkle in her eyes as she winked to the woman. All her movements had ths softer tones of a string of bells all melodiously following her moves. SHe wave and then took off towards the CMO Office.

"Pixie? We had similar my world. They were no myths. They were kept as pets." Tal replied as she kept following it. "However the sparkles and dust and twinkles did not accompany."

"Sometime you will have to tell me more about those on your world." He replaced the probe in his Tricorder and clipped it to his belt line. "Just show the old saying that myths have a root in truth." Milton grinned. "When Pixies were prominent on my world we did not know of yours yet there are similarities." HE nod. "I think that shows you there is magic, literally, everywhere would you not agree Lady Talsi?"


"They were inter-dimensional, we called them pets, but they chose to stay, they were found on many planets during my peoples time eons ago. Sometimes we would leave one planet, go to another, and they would find us there. Every place, every planet is linked. Perhaps your myth is my fact." Talsi replied as she calmed down and just watched as the pixie flew around.

"In some cultures they call beings like that 'Magical." Milton replied. and put his hand out palm up and look Talsi in the eye. "Put your hands above mine and I will share the Chi in us all and let you make the ball." Still keeping eye contact. "Some call it magical power and it is not of the physical but energy from within so you form the sphere between your hand without touch for Magic is not physical it is just there." He gave a large grin.

Cautiously Talsi looked at Cameron, and then back, she did as instructed, and placed her hand above his.

"Now just move your hands like an invisable sphere is forming and slowly getting bigger as you control and smooth all the sides while it grows. "He explained. "If you put your hand through it or try to physically touch it the magic is gone as we all know Science cannot define Magic and therfore you can believe it there but need not touch it to be true."

Talsi... remember the snow ball fight... try and make a snow ball." Cameron replied as he watched, he couldn't believe her reaction. Like a kid.

Talsi did as she was told and pretty soon a ball of light started to form, first only an inch that had the little srcs that spanned between her fingers and the sphere without shocking her or touching her in any way . Then a second that had grown while her hands expanded the sphere to nearly four inches in diameter with the inner sphere having blue and white lines of eletricity from inner wall to inner wall. Expanding her grip then third size was at eight inches center and whole the center was looking closer to a small warp core of lightts in the various colors while the outer tendrals of arcing light reach half way between where Talsi had her hands and the sphere itself. Pretty soon it was a fair size. nearly Eleven inches in the center of rainbow flashing lights intermixing with lines of light that seem to hold the sphere in constant shape making the empty spce come alive as what seemed an infinite number of varied size lances of light in all the colors of the spectrum surrounding the center reaching outward.

"This is amazing."

"Now the beauty of it..." Milton moved his hand to push it like a balloon up to the ceiling.


The flash was not blinding but gave specticle to the release of the shafts that pixilation type effect , the solid walls made a small explosion to allow all the inner colors to rush out for a second as the whole structure became pinpricks of falling light no bigger than a pinhead and what seemed millions of smaller points of light rain down upon the three in a two meter wide effect as they faded from sight.

"Magic..." Milton ended.

the smile on Talsi's face said it all. Pure and innocent amazement. Joy. Once it all disspiated she sat up "Ok, you can perform your scans."

"That is the great part of magic." Milton had all the time needed from the biobed and his own probe to certify and have a very accurate scan for baseline. "Your done, and I never stepped on your tail." He winked.

"What?" She replied as she was taken aback... she thought about it. "Distraction method, just like security uses in hostage rescue a lot when negotiations fail, have them looking the other way while the real focus is elsewhere." Smiling.

"You have her approval Doctor. As you have mine." Cameron replied with a relief.

"I do aim to please." Miltin glanced to the tail wrapped around her Husband. "I could do you a really magic favor?" He said to Cameron.

"Ill let you save your other tricks for our next visit." Cameron replied. "Just a regular checkup will be fine."

"I was going to let you breath with the illusion of need only you on the biobed." Milton shrugged. "But so long as Lady Talsi has you in her embrace of sorts." Milton took out his Tricorder and Probe. "I will do a simple manual check." He chuckled.
