Location: Ready room
Timeline: Backpost

Wagner side and gathered his strength before pressing the door chime on General Stoffels' quarters. He wished he could be done with this family situation.

Richard was in a track suit he had just done a work out in the gym. Given his age he worked really hard to stay in shape. "Ren, anything wrong?"

"I gave a code to Moxley so that he can call the captain," Soran explained. "He's got enough connections that if he keeps trying to get information about Nick through other sources it's gonna screw up your investigation. I think you'll need to hear from the horse's mouth that you gave the silenceorder."

"I need to talk to him anyway." He sighed. "I hate going against him but I have to. Maybe he will listen."

The two men walked down the corridor to the lift, They got out on the bridge and moved to the ready room. Wagnor press the chime and waited for the captain to answer.

Xavier was sitting taking a drink, it was seldom that he drank alcohol, but he made an exception this time... Hearing the chime, he quickly switched the drink over to a standard glass. Being a clear liquid alcohol, it would easily pass off as water. "One measly drink and i get interrupted." He paused as he took one last swig, and looked up, while grabbing a padd. "Enter."

Richard nodded when they walked in but he let the younger man do the talking for now.

"Captain we have a situation, General Sorrel is continuing to try and contact Nick. With his connections He could compromise our investigation, if he keeps meddling. So I gave him a secure code to contact you." Wagor explained.

As he finished the COMM chirped.

"Isn't this mission full of situations." Xavier replied "If he talks to Nick, what is the ramifications?"

Wagnor gave the general a wary look before answering. "From a security standpoint I feel we need to learn more about the message that was allegedly to Sargent Drew from General Sorrel before we allow him contact. Even if hes telling the truth about not knowing anything about that message, who's ever behind us could still use him to get to Nick. On a personal note I don't believe that Nick is a good headspace to talk to his grandfather right now. Lieutenant Jensen and Commander Stoffels agree."

"Then let's see what I can do. Do you want him to know you are here?"

Wagner shook his head he should, "I think he needs to hear from the horse's mouth so to speak. He seems to think I'm plotting against him, you and the General need to tell him what's going on, Sir. It would be best if he doesn't see me."

Nodding, "Very well." He turned to the computer. Screen popped up. "General, with what do I owe the pleasure."

"You took your time." Moxley grumbled which made Richard roll his eyes at Soran. The two men made sure they were not in view.

"What is this nonsense of me not being able to talk to my grandson. The boy requested to talk to me."

Xavier sighed, "At this point in time, I have made the call not to allow that just yet. Not until he gets some help. His current mental state, is currently not well, so I have decided to avoid certain things that may inadvertantly cause issues with our investigation." He paused. "It is our doctors thoughts that anything that can cause additional stress may do more harm than good. At least until he gets a better grasp on his mental health, and the doctor deems it safe to do so. Not to mention the investigation is complete."

"His therapist contacted me and she seems to think it is a good idea I speak to him. And what investigation? If I know I can be of help."

"His therapist has been reprimanded for contacting you, she disregarded a direct order of no outside communication regarding the mission that we were on, and what happened to the teams." He paused. "As you are aware, any mission that goes south, there is an investigation, if there needs to be contact with you regarding information we need, we will at that time refer to you for anything else we need. When the time is right we will allow Nick to contact you himself."

"Than that woman has got more balls than you, captain." Moxley said. "And what would it harm your investigation if I try to keep my grandson from commiting suicide. It seems I am the only one in his family he is willing to talk to. Do you want that on your conscience?"

"That will not happen... I know where she is coming from... But there has been progress... he will have the help he needs and the help that he has agreed to within the next couple of days... at this point of time... that is all the information I will give you. When i can give you more, I will authourize updates as they become available. Until then, there is nothing i can say, or do regarding this mission."

"She did not sound like she had any more ideas how to help him." Moxley was like a dog with a bone. "Do you have any idea who I am, young man."

"A concerned family member, as you should be. But I do have to make you understand that there are more... aspects... to this whole situation than we can divulge at this specific time. I also need you to understand that your grandson is being taken care of by the best people this side of the quardrant. and nothing will happen, ive got a full crew of medical personel to make sure everyone we rescued goes home safe. Some may require additional help. But full recovery... is expected... in time..."

"You have not heard the last of me captain."

"wouldn't have expected otherwise general." He shut the link off. Turned to the two. "Well that went... as expected."

"He can make trouble you know." Richard said. "He still has way more influence then he should."

Xavier leaned back. "Its what I am expecting General."

"Do you want me to try and calm him down? I gather I am allowed to talk to my father in law?"

Xavier nodded, and turned to the Commander. "Please remain Commander."

"As you wish," Wagnor sighed.

"I will see you later." Richard said to Wagnor then took his leave.
