~ Tony’s Quarters ~
Standing in Tony’s quarters, Sky fidgeted nervously with her wedding dress, she’d chosen a white dress with red bodice detailing and bling. “Are you sure I look alright? I want this to be just perfect.” She paused to give Tony a smile. “Sorry! I’m just a lot more nervous than I thought I’d be.”
"You look absolutely perfect, hon." Tony said. The dress completely covered that Sky was pregnant and she looked absolutely radiant. "Now I am ordering you to relax and just enjoy this day."
“Yes ma’am!” Sky grinned, she was glad to be getting married now, her slim frame was already starting to show the first signs of her pregnancy any later in and she would have had a bigger bump to cover.
Pix was first through the door; her special occasion; like any normal female, called for a new dress. This ons is a long gown off the shoulders, white with gold lace trim and a similar wrapped twine around her waist, tiny flower headdress and the skiirt was oval in cut with a train when she landed and flowing behind her as she flew to greet Sky.
Sweeping to her neck to give Sky a warm hug; the vivid image of a summer say in a meadow with the soft breeze moving the tall gress in ocean like waves mixed with the excitement of Pix giving her fondest wishes to Sky in Pix's own Telepathic style, the feeling of happiness in sharing Sky's wedding.
Pix's smile increased her radiant glow and gave a warmth passed thorugh the physical touch.
“Ohh Pix! You look beautiful!” Sky smiled excitedly as she saw the vision Pix had conveyed to her.
"I don't suppose I am too early?" Milton said upon entering the room, stopping to take in the radiance of Sky and her dress. "You make me wish I could have a similar sight to behold Sky." He moved to give her a hug and kiss on the cheek.
With a flurry a white full stem rose and a side rose just starting to bloom like the larger one.
You can add this from Pix and I to your bouquet, I am told by pix they will add just a touch to it from us." He remarked.
”It’s beautiful, thank you!” Sky held onto the flower she’d never seen a more beautiful white rose before.
"Looking pretty good yourself Tony, a bit bright eyed and might throw in a bussy tailed?" He winked to Tony.
Pix streamed a light trail and did pirouettes in front of Tony to bring a smaller Yellow rose she extended to her BFF with that Pix grin.
"thank you Pix." Tony gave her a small bow and smiled. She was not that used to wearing dresses like this. An army brat, she had been a bit of a tomboy growing up. Yet she felt good in the frilly dress and it made her feel feminine and pretty. And also very shy to see what Ren would think of it. "And thank you, doc, you are a gentleman."
"You know they keep telling me that." He chuckled and winked. "I suppose that is why I get the honor of walking the bride down the aisle?"
"Absolutely. That and being a good friend to Sky." Tony said.
“More than that, you’re family, you all are!” Sky smiled as she looked at her friends. “I can’t express what it means to have you all here with me today.” She took a deep breath to stop herself getting teary eyed. “Shall we go?”
"Good idea. You don't want to be late today." She winked.
Sky grinned. “It’s bride’s prerogative to be late, but I prefer not to be.”
Soran walked out of the bedroom, the Angosian was dressed in his Starfleet dress uniform. He'd add flourishes from his own culture, a red sash on his waist that draped on his left side next to the saber hanging from his belt. He wore a signet ring on the index finger of right hand and his and another ring on the middle finger of his left hand. He bowed slightly to the bride.
Sky blushed, she wasn’t used to being bowed to. “Ren you look absolutely wonderful, very handsome and smart in your dress uniform.”
"Thank you," he nodded. "You’re positively glowing, Xavier’s a lucky man."
Sky smiled warmly before stepping up and giving Soran a quick kiss on the cheek. “That’s for being so charming.” She made sure she hadn’t left any lipstick behind before stepping back. “Let’s do this.”
Tony could not keep her eyes off her handsome boyfriend. There was something to be said for a man in dress uniform and the way he wore his took her breath away.
"I'll take my leave of you." Soran said.
Pix came to rest on Milton's left shoulder as the precession started
~ Carey Quarters ~
"So with Sky being part betazoid, isnt the wedding supposed to be in the nude." Tal inquired.
"For the guests, some are.. uncomfortable." Xavier replied as he did up his dress uniform. "Besides, you like undressing her."
"Maybe." Tal smirked as she did her dress... "This is so uncomfortable." She complained. She reached behind, ripped a hole and put her tail through it.
"Lets go." Xavier replied as he took her hand.
Soran met the two of them in the hallway and nodded. "I will escort you to the holodeck."
The Angosian gave the couple a warm smile and rested a hand on his saber. "I've heard that it used to be the best man's duty to fight off angry relatives I doubt we're expecting trouble but as the chief of security and best man I'll escort you just the same."
"Considering you know my only other relative, then we have only my son to worry about. "
~ Holodeck - A few minutes later ~
Walking into the holodeck, he smiled. "Sky had said she would surprise us."
Tal looked at the falls, "Big waterfall." She replied as she walked over to the ledge of the cliff... Rocks was being constantly hit with the rushing water from the falls. Big drop. "So... whats special about this waterfall?"
"Well, its been deemed one of the more romantic sites on earth, it is also the city where my ancestors come from... well a nearby city but its close enough."
"It's quite beautiful," Soran said. "In my culture weddings are often held near running water, it a symbol of new life."
"Seemd like our people have something in common." He dug in his pocket. "If you don't mind holding onto these until the time comes." He pulled out the rings. and handed them to him.
Not wanting to walk through the corridors of the ship Sky had chosen to have a group transport to the holodeck, arriving outside the doors she looked around before turning to face the doors. This was her big day and she was aiming to enjoy it.
Waiting for their queue Sky took hold of Rutherford’s arm before the music began and the holodeck doors opened. “Let’s go Rutherford.” Her eyes were firmly fixed on Xavier as she proudly walked towards him.
Milton slowly with the pace he and SKy had practiced he guide them down the aisle. Pix sat on the shoulder between them. as the walk Pix threw her hands into the air spreading the Pixie Dust like a sparkling shower ; her verion of an Earth "Flower Girl only with more flash. She felt all the joy in the room and her glow was brighter and rather than outshining SKy the excess was used to shower the center aisle with glitter that glow for long second as it trickled down.
Pix's gift to Sky.
Xavier had turned to watch as the music began, sky had as usual stunned, especially in white. He smiled as he looked over at Tal, who was awestruck as well. Their wedding had been different. needless to say. So this was the first time a traditional wedding happened. Well traditional human wedding.
At the altar Wain was sitting in a hover chair in his dress uniform. His long red gray streaked hair was in a neat ponytail. He had had to promise the doctor only to stand for the ceremony itself and return to sickbay straight after for rest. There would be no party for him. But he was happy that he could help these two or was it three people to get married. So he smiled when the bride came closer.
Reaching the altar Sky released hold of Rutherford’s arm, before stepping between her husband, and wife to be. Xavier certainly looked handsome, and Tal looked wonderful as well. She nodded to Wain letting him know she was ready to start when he was.
He came to his feet with some difficulty and grabbed the cane next to his chair but he had been adamant on doing this on his own. After a little tug on the darned dress uniform he smiled at the happy people in front of him.
Milton had faded away with Pix; her dulled glow as the focus was Sky as they took their seat with family in the first row on the Bride's side.
"Dear Xavier, Sky and Talsi." Wain began. "You have come here today together with friends to witness this union between you three. Now I wish I knew you all a bit better, but from what I have seen you are all upstanding and kind people. Good officers who go beyond the call of duty. I feel honoured that you have asked me to perform this ceremony which will make the bond between the three of you a permanent one." As somewhat of a showman this was were he was in his element.
"Please will you three all hold hands and then one after the other give your new spouses the vows that you have written yourselves and that you will live by from now on."
He gestured for them to go ahead.
Sky took hold of both Xavier’s and Talsi’s hands, standing between them she stepped back just a little so she could look between them as she spoke.
“Xavier, Talsi, you both know how much I love you. Our relationship has gone from strength to strength in the time we’ve been together, you both supported me through the hardest time in our relationship... the loss of our child. We’ve come back stronger, and are once again looking forward to being parents. I would be lost without both of you, this day is a dream come true and I can’t wait to be forever a part of your lives.”
Xavier Smiled. "Sky, when we first met both Tal and I felt something, given that its not the usual relationship, it did make heads turn. I think they still do... but it was something that we both decided to pursue when given the opportunity."
"When you suggested being our surrogate, and we did discuss it. There was no doubt in our mind that we wanted you to be separate from us. That we wanted you to be a part of us." Tal continued. "Given that your... personality were somewhat similar, and your wants was on par. Everything about you were matching in almost every way to our wants. Our needs. My people are uncomfortable with single spouse. Now with our joining, it is going to make things so much easier for myself..."
Xavier gave her a small glance... he was awful coming up with things to say that were meaningful.
Sky smiled, she understood the meaning behind Xavier’s words. She wasn’t expecting a speech from Tal as this was an alien ceremony to her.
Wain took his cue. "Now who has the rings?" He asked looking around the room.
Sky watched as Soran handed over the rings to Wain.
Wain gave them each the ring in turn to slip on the other's finger.
"It is my great honour to pronounce you husband and wife and ...wife." He finished after a slight hesitation then smiled at all of them.
Sky’s smile practically shone as she leant in to give Xavier a loving kiss, before doing the same for Tal. This was the happiest day of her life.
