Pretty puppy

Xavier walked down the corridor with Tony, with her taking over, as part of his instruction, so far she had been doing a great job, and he could tell, just the brief time. She was going to take to it.

TAG

"Captain, Commander, there is a notice of an additional officer being transferred over to the resolution. A Lt Jericho Aldaje."

Xavier looked over to tony. Awaiting her response.

"What department?" Tony asked. "And do we have her dossier?" She was all business focussing on running the ship and not thinking of Ren and Sky.

"Sciences." Element replied over the badge.

"Oh good." Tony said. "We needed a replacement for Dr Bryant." She turned to Xavier. "Shall we go meet her?"

Xavier nodded, "Its too bad that we lost a good officer, even if she wasn't officially in starfleet. But her helping the Colonists deal with the problem, is admirable. I have however extended an invitation back should she want."

Tony stepped forward with a smile when the new officer materialized.

"Welcome to the resolution, I am Tony Stoffels the XO."

"Captain Xavier Carey, Commanding officer. Welcome aboard."

Jericho was busy checking on Talon, ensuring the Husky was safe and all in one piece. Sure, the transporters were safe enough, but she always worried. The first voice caused her to pat Talon's head.

"Sit." She told the pet. "Stay."

Talon sat, but she could see the husky's curiosity at the new people there.
ITurning, she straightened her spine then offered her commanders a respectful bow of her head.

"Lt. Jg. Jericho Aldaje." She spoke, forcing herself to remain vpin English and not toggle back and forth to Korean then English.

"Well behaved." Xavier stated referring to the dog

Tony bowed and held out her hand for the dog to snif. She loved dogs and had grown up around them.

Talon slowly lifted her head forward to sniff. She rose and walked around the commander's legs, sniffed at her feet then sat in front of her again and licked her hand.

"Well, Commander. You've been approved by the queen." Jericho translated for her pup. "And she is usually well behaved. The only time she acts up is if she believes someone in her pack is in danger.

"I get that." Tony said as she knelt to pet her dog. It will be nice to have her on board."

"We don't have many animals onboard to be honest."

"If you ever need a dogwalker let me know." Tony said. "And I am here to help you get settled as XO."

"Thank you very much." Jericho bowed her head.

"I am sure you will see that everyone is eager to help you get settled."

"Honestly, Commander, I will take all the help I can get." She explained. "I find it helps new crew get situated faster and can get down to busy without a lag due to a horrible case of re-entry."

Bored Talon walked over to sniff at the wall, turned to look at us then stretched before lying down. I supposed the warmth of it comforted her.

"I think we should leave you to get settled now. How about we have an introductionary chat tomorrow morning." Tony said. "And feel free to bring Talon."

Xavier looked around. "I look forward to getting to know you more Lt." He replied as he looked over. "Get your rest."
