Sky nodded politely to those on the bridge as she made her way to Xavier’s ready room, apart from a readiness report for her department she wanted to spend a little time with Xavier while he was on duty, luckily her reduced hours gave her that chance. Pressing the chime she waited for a call to enter before stepping in.

“Hey, hope you don’t mind some company?” She smiled warmly. “Thought I’d drop off my report and spend a little time, provided I won’t be in your way of course.”

"Never." He said as he gestured to the left of him. "Just waiting our arrival."

Sky smiled as she moved across placing her PADD down on the desk beside Xavier before taking a seat. She was grateful for any chance to take the weight off her feet. “I have to say I’m impressed with Kay, she’s done an excellent job of taking care of the department and crew while I’ve been away. She deserves recognition for all her hard work as noted in my report.”

"Didn't doubt it for a second." Xavier replied, "I will put a commendation in her file." He leaned back "Tal has been asking for time alone with you. With you almost here, she thinks shes going to miss out on you. In actual time spent. Shes beginning to realize spending time, outside of the bedroom is just as important as inside."

Sky nodded and smiled. “That would be nice, granted there are times I never know what to suggest that Tal would like to do, but then we’re both still learning about each other. I want my relationship with Tal to be as special as ours, I love her as much as I do you.”

"She knows that." Xavier replied with an assuring smile.

Sky smiled. “Has Tal mentioned what she’d like to do? We could go to the holodeck, I’d love to see more of Tal’s homeworld if she’s happy to show me what it used to be like? Either that or she could choose what she’d like.”

"I think she may need some direction... she has no idea..."

Sky nodded. “I’m sure I can rectify that.” She shifted uncomfortably in her seat sucking in a breath as one of the twins shifted position and leant on a nerve ending. “Easy little one...” she reached around a hand massaging the spot hoping to encourage some movement. “I’ll be glad...when I no longer feel like a kicking and punching bag!” She offered a wry smile.

"I am sure we all will... it bothers to see you uncomfortable." He replied as he leaned back. "So have you talked to Lt Jacen since hes been back onboard."

“Actually, no not yet but I plan to.” Sky smiled. “It’s always nice to have familiar faces return to the ship. I’ll make a point of dropping by to see him.”

"That will be an... interesting conversation I reckon."

“You think so?” Sky smiled and nodded. “Jason and I were...serious back then, but he was reassigned and I didn’t know if I’d see him again, so I chose to move on. I’m hoping he’ll understand that.”

"I am sure he will be." Xavier replied.

Sky nodded. “So what are we expecting this mission? I’m guessing there won’t be much that will require my attention?”

"Currently, nothing really, considering our past couple of missions its really dull. However its welcomed considering."

Sky nodded. “True, after what happened I guess I need dull and slow, as much as I hate it! Tony would have my hide if I was involved in anything stressful.”

"Not to mention the doctor, and myself." He replied as he looked at the readouts. "There is plenty of help if you need it Sky. Just dont overdo it."

Sky nodded and playfully saluted. “Aye Sir!” She gave Xavier a more serious look. “Seriously though, I promise no overdoing anything.”

"Good." He replied as he relaxed a little.

“Is there any news on what’s happening out there?” She looked towards the view of space. “Are we bordering on the fact that war could happen? I was worried before, now the twins are almost here I’m even more worried.”

"We knew what we sign up for, the fact that war is here, doesnt change anything. We have our job to do, we adjust and we move forward." He replied as he leaned back. "But I agree, I am worried as well."

Sky nodded and smiled appreciating Xavier’s honesty. “Anyway I should let you get back to work, there’s plenty that a CO of a starship has to do.”

"I will see you at home later." He nodded with a smile.

Sky nodded before walking over and giving Xavier a kiss. “I know we’re working but whose going to know?” She grinned. “I’ll see you at home.” With that she headed on her way.
