A little perturbed

Mission:
Lantea
Location: Tony’s office
With the ship enroute back to Earth Sky made her way to speak to Tony. The thought of going back to where she’d kidnapped before had dredged up some unpleasant memories. Pressing the chime she waited until Tony opened the door.
“Hi Tony” she offered a smile. “Can I talk to you?”
"Sure." Tony said. "Come in." She had been trying to relax a bit as she had promised the docs she would do after the mission ended so some soft music was playing in the background. "Business or pleasure?"
“I guess it’s business in a way, though not exactly...” Sky paused. “It’s just...heading back to Earth, it’s dredging up some memories and fears again.” She felt awkward, but knew she could talk to Tony about anything especially as she was her Counsellor.
"Ah." Tony said. "Have a seat and can I get you a drink?" She could have known that this would be coming, of course this would be difficult for Sky.
“Please, a Risan sunset please.” Sky took a seat, making herself as comfortable as she could be. “It’s not like the nightmares I had before, I’ve had a couple but not as bad as they used to be.
Tony nodded. "It's good they are less now." She said. "We will have to monitor how it goes when we get closer to Earth."
“I never thought I’d dread returning to Earth.” Sky offered a melancholy expression. “With the possibility of war looming as well, it’s all proving to be a little much right now, especially with the twins being due in a month and a half!”
"It is very normal that you are afraid. That is why you do have to face it." Tony said gently. "It will get easier."
Sky nodded. “I know, I guess it’s all just getting to me right now.” She nodded her thanks as Tony handed her the drink she’d asked for, pausing to take a sip. “Mmm I swear...I could go mad on this drink! It’s so refreshing.”
Tony smiled. "Glad you like it. And of course I will be there for you. You can contact me at any time you need."
Sky nodded. “Thank you Tony, you know what that means to me.” She smiled warmly. “Did I...already ask you if you’d be the twins godmother? It’s not a tradition that Betazoid’s follow, but I know Humans do, and I’d like to keep to it.”
"That's..." Tony blinked. "I would be honored." Nobody had ever asked her anything like that.
Sky smiled happily. “Wonderful! Let’s hope you don’t end up regretting becoming auntie Tony!” She grinned playfully.
"I don't mind spoiling them rotten and babysitting, as long as you get to take them home in the evening."
Sky couldn’t help but grin at that. “Sounds Good to me! I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to fit my career around looking after two babies! I’m seriously glad that both Tal and Xavier have experience being parents.”
"And you can hire a nanny. That should help. Plus you have one more parent than most families have." Tony said practically.
“That’s very true” Sky smiled and nodded. “You don’t think about these things until someone else says it. It’s just...Tal’s people would see my babies as a whole family thing, two mothers as a norm, I’m a little worried how I’ll cope with the shared mother part of things. I don’t want to feel jealous of Tal, we are all one family.”
"Have you talked to her about that?"
Sky shook her head. “Not yet, but I will. I need to sit down with both Tal and Xavier it’ll be easier to explain how I feel. I’m not going to shut either of them out, we’re a family unit, I just need to adjust to how the routine will be.”
"Good, I am glad to hear it." Tony said with a smile.
Sky smiled. “I’m being a worry wart aren’t I?” She shook her head. “I always used to hate admitting to my faults, not to mention talking to others about my feelings. Now look at me!” She offered a wry smile. “For what it’s worth I appreciate you being there for me Tony, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Tony smiled a little shyly. "Aww, that's what friends are for."
Sky smiled warmly. “I’ll let you get on with your work, I’m sure you’ve got plenty to keep you busy right now.” She slowly stood up ready to leave. “If there’s anything you need a hand with feel free to let me know.”
"I had rather you rest." Tony said. "You should be on full maternity leave now really."
“Full maternity leave would have me sitting around our quarters getting bored” Sky offered a smile. “I’d prefer to be doing something, at least I can sit down while I talk to people.”
"But can you give them your full attention." Tony asked. It was her job as first officer.
“So far its been okay, but if I feel that’s changing then I’ll take you up on full maternity leave.” Sky offered a melancholy smile. “I’m not willing to risk any of my patients just to prove a point.”
"That is good to hear. I will be keeping a close eye on things." Tony warned.
“I would expect nothing less” Sky smiled warmly. “I only plan to work half shifts for another month then I’ll go onto full maternity leave, I think I’ll need it.”
Tony nodded. "And don't think I have forgotten about your stunt during the last mission." She said mock sternly.
“Of course Commander” Sky offered a smile. “If you want to impose a punishment then I’m prepared to face up to it.”
"You have been lenient with me in the past. But we have to take our duties seriously, Sky. And be sure that we are doing good and not making matters worse when we are tired."
Sky nodded in agreement. “I know, I was rash not waiting for your order it won’t happen again.”
"Good." Tony smiled.
