Mission:
The Lost Brother
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Current
{ON}
Given her brief flashes of memory from Soran’s mind Sky had called together all those involved to join her in Sickbay. Given her pregnancy she wanted to speak with Rutherford just to see what he’d have to say about it all. She’d also called Xavier, Tony, and Soran to be present as it involved them all.
Milton entered with Pix riding his left shoulder , looking at Sky he gave a grin
"She decided she was needed and would not stay put." MILTON just let the rest hang unsaid
Tony walked in next with a concerned look on her face. "Did something happen to you, Sky?"
Sky shook her head. “Not as such Tony, I’ll explain everything once everyone is here.”
Soran entered the room quietly with a neutral expression.
Xavier walked into the room, with the ship still a bit off from the planet, he was curious as to why he had been asked to the sickbay.
With everyone present Sky offered a reassuring smile. “Thank you all for coming, I wanted you all here since this involves all of you whether personally...” she looked at Xavier. “As friends, as well as colleagues..” she looked at Tony and Soran. “Plus of course in your medical capacity Doctor.” She offered Rutherford a warm smile, and gave Pix a wave. “I’ve been experiencing brief flashes of images, that I can only attribute to being in Soran’s mind. I thought it best to check in with Rutherford about it.”
Pick returned the wave, but was not her usual happy self. Apprehension on her face.
Milton commented. "Pix has been a bit restless I think she is picking up on you."
Tony had a bad feeling about this but did not say anything yet. She looked at Ren to see how he would react.
Pix would not look at Wagnor, taking no subtle way of showing she was avoiding his gaze.
Sky noticed that Pix was ignoring Ren, she had no idea why. “So what do you think Rutherford?” She looked towards the ship’s Doctor hoping he’d be able to tell her just what was going on. “Is this just a side effect of my getting yanked into Soran’s mind?”
"Betazoid minds are not exactly a science so much as an Artistic meshing of extrasensory traits." Milton began. "With that being said and your heightened biochemistry it would not be a stretch to note you might 'absorb' more than you can control and these are just your mind playing the data in a way it can comprehend or at least get some semblance of order to." He nod. "Basically the Vulcans have two ways of dealing with emotions, experience with analysis or Suppression. " He chuckled.. "Sky you do not suppress so it may be all you snared in the connection and your mind can only process so much of the files and you are playing them so they can be dealt with?"
Sky nodded. “I guess it makes sense in a way, as I said what I’ve had so far has just been brief flashes of images.” She looked towards Soran. “Soran said when I was doing my phaser certification, that I was standing in a pose that his people use for training. I don’t remember doing that.” She shrugged her shoulders. “Anyway, after what happened I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.”
"That's a right mess." Tony sighed.
"My memory has been enhanced and conditioned," Soran said. "It took a year of learning meditation methods to control the memories. Before my recent lapse I could move through them with ease. Allowing me to use them rather than suppress them. Suppression has never worked for me."
“Maybe you could teach me those meditation techniques” Sky offered Soran a hopeful smile. “It may help me not just with the memories, but with overall control of my abilities. That’s if it’s alright with the two of you?” Sky looked towards Xavier and Tony.
"Yes," Soran nodded. "I would be willing to try that."
"Fine with me. As long as you keep me in the loop on how it is going and the doctor as well." Tony said.
Sky looked towards Xavier, who was being very quiet. “Is that okay with you Xavier?”
"So long as its safe, and the Doc agrees."
Sky nodded looking to Rutherford. “Would that be okay with you Rutherford? and of course, with you Pix?” She offered the diminutive fairy-like female a smile.
Milton had a gnawing in the back of his neck, something was not right in his gut feeling.
Pix was another matter, she all but confidant. The man felt wrong, having not even noticed her. She did not like people that act as though she is invizable.
Shaking her head Pix glance to the baby, it had no choice , Pix did not like that so she looked away with a bell twinkle sounding huff.
Soran looked at the tiny figure, "is something wrong?"
Tony had become alarmed as well. "If Pix thinks it is not safe I am against it as well." She had to help her little friend.
Sky looked worriedly towards Pix, then at Tony. “If Pix doesn’t think this is safe then we won’t do it. She’s far more in touch with her abilities than I am, if she foresees danger then we’ll give the meditation a miss.”
Soran sighed, "It's all right I've gotten used to irrational prejudice. I just didn't think I would deal with it here, I actually thoughtI was among friends. I'll be going now."
The Angosian turned on his heel and moved for the exit
"Commander, please remain." Xavier replied. "This isn't anything about you being a danger or meaning any harm whatsoever."
"No, you can reprimand me later." Wangnor said without breaking his stride. The door opened and he stepped without looking back.
Xavier sighed. He made a note to pay the commander a visit after they were done here as soon as possible.
Tony cursed under her breath and started for the door. "Ren! Wait!"
Pausing, he looked around. "This fell apart fast."
