Mission: The Lost Brother
Location: Conference room

Tal walked into the conference room, being the first one there, she sat next to the end of the table, where she knew Xavier sat. Hearing of the type of planet they were to visit she became excited with the prospect of visiting a home similar to that of her own.

Wagnor walked in with a mug of coffee in one hand and a PADD in the other he nodded to Tal and took a seat with a view of the door.

Rick burst in panting a bit. "Jeez, I hope I'm not late." He stopped and looked around the room. He didn't see the captain and realized he wasn't, in fact, late. He let out a relieved sigh and greeted his security superiors with a nod, "Commander, Lieutenant." He immediately exuded a calmness that one would not think possible after witnessing his entrance.

"Catch you breath Jones," Wagnor said with a smile. "In the future security doesn't run unless there giving chase."

Rick nodded, “I got it.”

Xavier walked in staring down to the padd that he received regarding the mission. The briefing was not for another ten minutes, so he walked up to the replicator. Ordered himself a drink and sat down at his seat.

Tony walked in just before the meeting was about to start. She had torn herself away from sickbay but her mind was not really on the mission right now and it was hard to keep her emotions under control.

Hearing the door, he looked up finally, and was startled slightly. "Guess I should have paid more attention. We will just wait for the doctor and we can get started."

Milton came through the doors a little flustered; he had been keeping very odd hours with the latest patient to arrive. He quickly found a seat.

"My apologies, been rather occupied of late, which made me late ... Sir."

Looking at the time. "Not at all Doctor..." He gave a nod "Two minutes early as a matter of fact. I take it the patient, is keeping you on your toes."

Wagnor didn't acknowledge the doctor, after his last visit the medbay he no intention of interacting the man.

Noticing the tension, he made a note to figure that stuff out. Two senior officers at odds, was not going to be good
Only being enlisted and not an officer, Rick was watched the other interact wondering what he'd gotten himself into. He was just eager to do his job and if he got called in some excitement was sure to follow.

"I'm taking three with Tony and a medic that makes a team six, I'll assign four to Lieutenant Carey's team. If possible I'd like air support, one shuttle the and relay data and help with the search The ships sensors are great, but nothing beats a pair of eyes in the sky."

"How is your patient, doctor?" Tony asked anxiously.

"Alive and in the first stages of staying stable; he is not going to die." He looked at his friend Tony. "The extent of his injuries are long and it is too soon to get a grasp on the full extent of the injuries." He continued. "Now that he is stable I can actually help him with healing but he is still seriously injured and no visitors as yet, he is in isolation for the time being."

Wagnor turned to the Captain and XO, " What patient are we discussing?"

Tony looked at the captain surprised he had not told the senior staff anything yet. If he hadn't it wasn't her place.

"Considering that the current mission is deemed classified, by higher HQ, I felt the need to keep things under wraps until we know for sure who we have." Xavier replied as he leaned back, not something he was accustomed to. "Several hours ago we got a distress call from a shuttle. We rendez-voused with the shuttle and brought on board it's lone occupant. Almost dead, but with the doc here and his miracles he has in his sleeves, he will survive. The patient matches those of one of the team we are here to search. Being special forces and taken out like he was... Changes this whole mission."

Rick said nothing but his eyebrows went up in surprise. What did he just get himself into?

"Also the extent of his injuries means as little contact outside of Medical Staff as possible." Milton interjected. "I would not relish an abnormal amount of people in Sick Bay until the patient is stable enough to be in an open ward."

"What ever is needed Doctor, you have full authority of whatever you need." He turned to the security Chief. "Right now, we have some forensic investigation to do. There is a shuttle in the shuttle bay under guard until we can determine who, where and why and all that fun stuff. Commander take whoever you feel is needed, but minimal people do your stuff, then I will have science go in and figure out if we can pinpoint where the shuttles been, and who they contacted."

"Jones have you ever handled a forensic investigation before?" Wagnor asked.

"No... but I watched one once," Rick answered hopefully, "On our last assignment I, uh, watched Commander Doctrine as we investigated an attempted assassination on Mentar." Rick wanted to slap himself. He may as well have said he stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. 'Too late now' he thought.

"Lieutenant Milton," Soran's voice and expression were cold. "Do you have someone on your staff that could observe the investigation?"

"I would rather keep it to the Chiefs only unless necessary," Xavier replied. "Unless the patient is in need."

Wagnor looked at the Captain, but said nothing.

"He is stabilized of course and m staff could handle it." Milton began. "I could be spared for a time so long as the patient recovers at a normal rate and no complications set in." He pondered. "Most of his status now is rest and recovery, keeping him sedated until his Pain Centers are less active with some healing of his body." Milton glanced up. "I can leave it to them for a time, but if you like I have a Nurse who hobby is archelogy and Biology, been on a few digs and her collection of sample is not all that different than evidence samples in theory?"

Xavier noticed the look from Soran... but ignored it. With Sorans night mares and it could make anyone on edge. It wasn't easy for the chief security given his past.

"How soon can we talk to him? He may have valuable information about the situation we may walk in on the planet. I think Melor had the most combat training out of all of them" Tony said.

"Twelve to twenty hours due to the level of his sedation." Milton said. "The sheer damage to the internal organs through the beating and the swelling had me really cutting into him and any Humanoid body that battered needs time to heal." Milton explained. "And to control the pain he will be heavily sedated so he does not wake screaming in pain." Milton pointed out. "If we do manage to talk with him it will be only short times as I do not want to over-exert himself and undo the repairs I have managed."

"Melor!?" Wagnor started at hearing the name. "He's the patient!?"

Soran gave Tony a worried look before turning to Milton. "Lieutenant… Doc If your patient needs plasma, mine can be altered to suit his biology. You'll find the procedure in his file. It's a long story."

He was still weary of the doctor and there were conversations that still needed to be had. However he could put differences aside to save a brother in arms and help his friends.

"Yeah." Tony said remembering the Melor she met when he was a shy toddler. In the human world he was regarded as a tough ass. But his grandfather had send him to live with the London family for good when Melor was eight because he had a kind heart and could not make it in the hard Klingon world.

"Seems to be a popular guy that everyone but his Doctor knows?" Milton chuckled. "Even his blood needs, I do not have so say how that is a surprise." He looked at the three. "While I apprechate the offer , and I will consider it should the need arise, but I am a Xeno-Biology trained DOctor." More of a nervous chuckle. "I seem to be getting by pretty good with is care so far. It is being handle but thanks for the offer."

"Ren is a friend of my family." Tony explained. "So he knows all three of the missing men."

"I do agree with the doctor, although if the need arrises, Commander we will use you as an option. If the doctor seems it's.in the best for the patient, if not we will go with his treatment." Xavier replied. "I only got details on the patient when we heard of the missing marines doctor. Going by the visual confirmation of Commander Stoffels. I've not.known this person before."

"He looks awful." Tony added. "But it is him."

"He is in good hands." Milton said. "Now the question is of 'My' going or staying with the patient?" He tilt his head. "His are is dependant upon what you need of me, my staff has the regiment and if it works as planned as it should I will not be required. "He is stable and just recovering rather than in danger."

Xavier thought about it. "You have good people, let them take care of him. In case things happen I would like you to be down there as well." He thought about it, with a medic and with Soran trained in emergency first aid. That would give ample time to get the doctor to their team quickly. "I would like you to be on Lt Careys team."

"We need as much information as possible, I go inspect the shuttle." Wagnor said.

"We dont know what we will find in there Commander. I want full visual done before hand. Doc I want you in there perhaps there is something you can figure out before anything is disturbed on a biological aspect."

"Of course sir, I have been trained in handling forensic scenes." Soran said dryly.

"Should I come?" Tony asked.

"Maybe after the initial sweep you can enter, but i want you to stay back prior to that. We dont know what we will find."

"Yes sir." Tony was not happy with it but she would follow orders. "Shall we go commander?" She said to Wagnor.

Wagnor nodded and rose from his seat, "Captain, I'm taking the doctor because you've insisted I don't need him."

He have his back to Doc, he knew he was being disrespectful, but he related care to work with the man and felt that he was just a distraction. Honestly he felt the same way about Tony but wasn't willing to fight that fight.

He couldn't help but hide a smirk. "Very well Commander, the doctor is with you." He turned to Rutherford. "Doc, pick someone from your staff to accompany Tals team."

"I will meet all three of you at the shuttle in 30 mins." He turned to Tal. "Lt please remain behind for a few minutes."

"Behave!" Tony hissed in Wagnor's ear as they left the conference room.

Nodding. Tal remained seated
