Mission:
Traitor amongst us?
Location: captain's office
Timeline: Current
The captain's comm gave off a beep to indicate that an urgent message was incoming.
Turning to the computer, he turned it on. Captain Carey. May I ask whos speaking."
A man in his late fifties appeared on the screen. He had close cropped greying hair and piercing blue eyes. He wore the uniform of a starfleet commodore.
"Captain Carey, my name is Thorne Garrison and I have some very serious news to share with you. For that I would like you to gather your second officer, Security officer and your counsellor but not your First officer."
"If its regarding my first officer. I need to know what's going on." He replied as he summoned them anyway.
"When everyone is here. And please make sure you secure your end of the conversation." The man looked grave.
Having done her 24 hour rest period in Sickbay, Sky had promised Rutherford that she’d cut back on her duties. Light duties were light duties and as such cutting back hours was the only way to accomplish it. With the call from Xavier she made her way to his ready room, she pressed the chime and waited for an answer.
Diane approached the ready room door, perhaps with an extra spring in her step, and asked Sky, “Any idea what’s up?”
Sky noticed the extra spring in Diane’s step, she smiled and shook her head. “No clue, I guess we’ll find out soon enough.”
"Enter." Xavier called out
Entering the room Sky smiled as she looked at Xavier. “You sent for us Captain?”
"Actually I was told to send for you."
"Who told you to send for us?" Diane curiously asked with a hint of suspicion in her tone. She then remembered she was talking to her commanding officer, "If you don't mind my asking."
"This guy apparently... still not sure who exactly he is."
Wagnor stepped through the door with his coffee cup and sat down.

Garrison looked at the small group from the monitor screen. "I am afraid that I have some very serious news concerning the Stoffels/Sorrel and London families. and I thought it would be better if the news would be told by a trained therapist. And people close to them" He looked at Soran.
"As Commander Wagnor can tell you I am one of Admiral London's best friends, have been since the academy. So I know both families well."
"Yesterday on earth there was a series of assasination attempts. We have not been able to apprehend anyone yet but believe me we are looking. Those conducted at the London family tried to get at the admiral's son who are still on planet. Thankfully all these could be averted through watchfull personel." He did not add that he had taken that task on his shoulders. Frank is not serving on earth and has been secured on the planet he is serving on. Llewelyn is safe at the academy and the youngest boys are at my ranch. Now... the Sorrel family did not get away that lucky." He pauzed for a few seconds. "Mrs Sorrel senior was out with er son's husband and kids. Marguarite was killed as was one of Pete Sorrel's small daughters. One of the others is in critical condition. Pete and his husband were with his father yesterday trying to talk some sense into the old man. A bomb went off there. All three are in critical condition in the hospital."
Sky sighed and shook her head. “Oh no.”
Diane’s brow furrowed deeply. This news was serious trouble. “And are there ideas of who perpetrated these atrocities?” She asked trying to keep her calm.
"I have no proof yet but believe me I have all my people out looking. But we think it is Reshtarc hitting back for freeing the hostages. Will you be able to keep Richard and Aleck and the kids there safely? I am tearing my head out on what to do to keep Wain and Denise safe." Garrison admitted.
"I am having someone looking into having talks with the Reshtarc here on the Resolution. However this time, I do not intend to losing a digit." Xavier replied.
Sky looked at Xavier. “I think I should talk to Tony, this is going to come as one hell of a shock. There’s no point in keeping her, and those family she has here, in the dark.
Soran sat taking in the information, "Commodore can you have Admiral Bryce get in touch with me. I want to go over my security precautions on the London's."
The Angosian knew that was best to act on information now and process emotions later.
"I will. But I have been working with him as well." Thorne rubbed his eyes, he had not gotten any sleep last night. "I am extremely worried. The youngest boys are very worried for their parents safety as well. How are Tasin, Melor and Nick progressing by the way?"
"Melor is on the mend and Tasin has a long rehab ahead of him. Nick is physically sound, but psychologically shaken." Wagnor reported
“Nick will get all the help he needs Sir, that I promise you.” Sky offered a reassuring smile. “They all will.”
"Thank you. That is good to know. And I do urge you to keep them all safe. I will try to do the same here on earth. I will give you my secure direct line in case of need."
Xavier nodded. "Will do. Resolution out." He paused. He turned to Commander Doctrine. "See what you can find about the attack, and on the Reshtarc. See how this all went down. See what exactly started this war between the families."
"Aye," she answered, "I've already started a preliminary investigation for General and Commander Stoffels. I'll now make it priority one. I'll also contact Drex and see if he can help us out on the Klingon side."
Sky looked towards Xavier. “With your permission Captain, I’d like to go talk to Tony.”
"Commander Wagnor... looks like she may need you after." Xavier replied as he thought
“I agree” Sky looked towards Soran.
"Of course,"Soran said
"Let me know if she needs time... Commander Doctrine, you may be required to take over depending on how the Commander takes it." Xavier replied. "Not saying she isn't strong. I am saying she will need time to sort through this."
"I understand Captain," Diane replied with a hint of melancholy in her tone.
“To be honest Sir, as much as Tony will need time being shut up in her quarters will be worse. She’ll want to work.” Sky sighed. “I’ll keep an eye on her.”
"I'll inform the rest of her family," Soran said.
“I’ll go with you Commander” Sky looked at Soran. “It’s my job as Counsellor to be there.”
"Do what you feel is best." He turned Sky, "if you feel she needs to be taken off of duty for the time being. Do what you must."
Sky nodded. “I will Sir.”
"Soran... I can take care of the General."
"Yes Sir," The Angosian smiled hearing his Captain use his first name.
