ooc not sure who and how many to involve here.

Toni came into the captain's office still more than a little angry. "That man is insane." She grumbled, talking about price. "This time Sky saw it too. I have warned my dad and he has asked if we can rendez vous. Price has also filed charges against me, and by the life of me, I still have no idea what I have done."

"I am not entirely sure if the resolution is the safest place at the moment. Starfleet Intel has something against your family, or maybe a group within. Your uncle is apparently one of the ones that brought this on. But apparently if I call him, I am threatened to be a stay at home dad, and you being arrested." he leaned back, tapped the com. "Commander Milton, report to the ready room please."

"I am not leaving my post, if that is what you are hinging at. But how is admiral Ross involved? I haven't spoken to him for a long time."

Milton had dropped the research... thankfully as it was a bit time consuming and right now a long dwell time allowed a bit of latitude.

Less than a minute later he was buzzed into the ready room.

"I have not heard an alert so what is up Captain, Toni?" He inquired.

"You can read the whole report later and please read commander Price's as well as I am trying to be impartial. But what it comes down to is that he has accused my father and me of treason against the federation and he has pressed charges against me. I can assure you that neither my father or me are guilty."

"Apparently we are being diverted to an outpost to have the commander here booked in to see a shrink... to see if shes capable of being first officer. I was told to expect message from starfleet intelligence ordering us to. Seeing as I didn't believe Commander Prices word." Xavier replied as he leaned back. "When I stated I would look into this I was told i would be interfering in an investigation, and be moved to a stay at home father. The Commander would immediately be arrested." He leaned in. "Whatever is going on, they are pushing hard and fast, we need to know everything your family knows about what they did or didnt do."

"I do have a sort of idea that might keep her on board for a minimum of three days but she will end up being under quarantine and not able to be transported nor exposed to others during that time. Milton shrugged. "If we need to delay her being 'transferred to another facility this will keep her on the ship for 72 hours, losing 24 due to our traveling to the station." He grinned. Not even Intel nor security could get her out of my Medical bay."

He grimaced.

"But it will not be comfortable for Toni during those three days of isolation, I have to make it real enough to stick."

"Thanks RJ but what happens after three days? If they want me, this won't stop them and it won't protect my family." She sighed. "I am so damned tired of this."

"What are the conditions of your patients, as Chief medical officer, you have more of a voice than I do, when it comes to medical. As well as the Jem Hadar. Which we still have no idea how to handle once they go beserk. The vial the Commander did find only will last so long."

"There is a way to make it but one key element is out of reach; the Dominion lines are between us and the cure." He said. "All are stable and on the mend. Her Grandfather is aboard and..." Milton winked at Toni. " We have a little mutual friend checking in on them."

That made Toni smile. "I don't think I can outrun this." She looked at Xavier. "And I have to make sure my parents are safe as well and my brother. We need to clear our names. And now granda as well. Do you need to put me under arrest, sir?" She asked the captain.

"For what?" Xavier inquired as the beep came in. "Must be orders to divert to the outpost."

"You mean you will let me continue to work?" She asked hopeful. "and the order for me to turn myself in on the outpost? I don't want you to get into trouble as well."

Pressing the chime finally, "commander whatbcan I donfoe you." Xavier asked leaning back.

"Captain, I have heard reports about your first officer, something along the lines of unprofessional attitude towards fellow officers, a concern for the ability to assume command if needed let alone serve as your first officer "

"I have heard the same allegations, you can be assured I'm looking into those allegations quite seriously." Xavoer replied the tone of sarcasm in his voice wouldn't be picked up unless they knew him.

"Assure you do Captain, now your new orders..."

"I'm sorry commander I cannot follow those new orders I have a ship full of hostile pows and survivors of the recent battle. I Can have our doctor respond as well if needed."

Toni had tears in her eyes, she was so happy Xavier was standing by her.

"I will be back in touch with you within the hour Captain." The Commander replied rather snappy as the screen went black.

Leaning back Xavier turned to the doc and Toni. "Bought us a bit of time. If the Commander is any indication, who ever is after your family, is making a move, this time not through killing attempts but to take your career down. Even the suspicion of what the Commander price is saying is enough to bring doubt in your capabilities."

Toni curses softly. "What the hell am I going to do?"

"Question is, what are we going to do, we are in this together, not just me, the whole crew has your back. I have a few contacts, that may be able to shed light on this." Xavier replied, "Doctor I would like a sworn statement that given our current status with who we have onboard it is not safe for us to divert to another destination, should you feel it is necessary. I will be getting into contact with Admiral Ross."

Although she had helped Xavier through some very rough patches in his life that could have ended his career she was almost brought to tears by his willingness to put it all on the line for her.

"WE are quite limited with our 'Special Guests' under confinement." Milton grinned. "In reality no one really wants a bunch of possibly enraged Jem'HaDar under foot. Intel and even high security facilities are not sure how well they might get loose so if I emphasize they are nearing a breaking point I am sure many bases and ports of call will not allow us entry."

"Commander Stoffels contact the starbase, have as many security personnel on hand to greet our special guests, marines if possible." Xavier replied, "Any other questions?"

"Yes sir." Toni said and got to work straight away.
